    Often when things are on offer they might even increase the price of other sizes of the same product so it seems like an even better reduction.

    The excise duty alone is €14.90 here on a litre of morgans, without even taking VAT into account. So it would have to be sold at a loss to match the prices you linked.

    Irish whiskey, for example, is significantly cheaper in Germany than here.

    Simple explanation: excise duty.

    We have much higher excise rates than Germany.

    They have 20% PRSI, we have 4% PRSI.

    Pay more income taxes in Germany, pay less here.
