One thought that has stuck me in the last few weeks, given the losses that they have had in RTE, is what the legacy will be for the Ryan Tubridy era. At the end of his radio and TV career, will people be really lauding what a great presenter he was, how his era as the presenter of the Late Late was exceptional, about how he "was a natural".

It seems to have been decided now and forever that the toy show is his triumph. From the over the top promotion before hand to getting the rags and social media afterwards to tell us how good it was.
