    Listening this morning I came to a sudden and stark realisation.

    Ryan Tubridy's entire 55 minute radio show has become a long Sunday sermon.

    There's parables, homilies, virtuous insights, stories of how being like Ryan and living a good life will bring rewards later. These stories are often backed up with fabricated illustrative examples of how bad things happened to those who did not listen to the good word from the RTE pulpit.

    Just today Ryan told us all that we will all return to flying on planes, soaking in the sun and attending concerts.....Well most of us, he hopes. This is comparable to the "worship with us or burn in hell for eternity" message of the archaic Church.

    Post Catholic Ireland has found its way out of the darkness once more and turned to a new God in a new Church.

    Amen.

    The human spirit needs a god, and the new deity is RTÉ, with God in Chief being Ryan Tubridy.

    You never heard it caller leccky ryan coz you grew up under a rock. BlackRock college.

    If ryan was in the navy he wud never get within 100 nautical miles of a battle. And still get plenty medals.
