I think our hero Tubs should have Aoibheann ni Shuilleabhain on the show or on the late late....

When I read the story that was one of the first things that struck me. This is the sort of story that RTE usually absolutely love, so if it wasn't for the fact that they were former partners they would have had her on the very first next available Late Late.

Claire Byrne will probably get half an hour out of it tomorrow.

So what do we think the agenda for tomorrow's show will be?

I think its safe to say he will probably spend most of his "20 minute waffle bit" talking about the return of the LLS and how wacky its been of late.

It's a sacrifice that I wouldn't be willing to make but it would be interesting to track the ratio of misery late late show topics to positive topics over the course of the season. Just to see if the criticism that's often brought up is true or if it's a case confirmation bias.

Would be interesting. Ratio in terms of number of topics but also in terms of time dedicated to it. Often there may only be one misery topics but they can be substantial in duration.

Exactly, trying to be balanced if they feature say 4 neutral (rte show plugs) or positive stories and then 1 harrowing misery story it's the misery story that may be more impactful by its nature so it wouldnt exactly be right to say that it was a show packed with misery.

NB I do think that misery topics are important and worthwhile, this issue I have with them is that a relentless barrage of them on a friday night can be hard to take and off putting.

I have been told by an RTE insider about why Aoibheann will not be appearing on The Late Late Show:
"We would have loved to have Aoibheann on the show, however we were extremely worried that upon hearing of the acts perpetrated against her by the offender, Ryan would have gone around to his house and broken both his legs."

" Dont be worrying about Christmas " , " its much too early " proclaims Tubbs.

Approximately 20 seconds before he began a self- praising sermon about the late late Christmas toy show.

Total Toyshow run time would be around 150min?

Total time spent talking about Toyshow throughout the year might come to around 6 hours? That's some bang for their buck. I can almost tell the topics that are designed to 'kill some time's on air.

I had to turn it off...cant stomach him for more than 5 minutes...

Let us know if he mentions Aoibheann, she should definitely be on the late late...

Poor professionalism if he cant get her on

No doubt it's a recorded interview

I am a bit confused about this interview. Is she here to promote a book? Is she fundraising? Or is it just misery porn?
