He's all excited about doing an 'all nighter' for the US election to witness history ie, Biden winning
Erm, has no one told him there won't be a winner on the night due to almost 80 million bloody postal votes
Gawd, I hope Trump wins eventually just to devastate this guy :)

Tubridy hates the sound of people eating. Wonder how he feels about the sound of swallowing which he inflicts on us daily.

They must have blown the guest budget on Fry yesterday ;)

Tubdirdy wouldn't have to be too stressed going into any interview in rte, knowing that hes probably already got the job or the panel being being he and his family have been hanging around with for decades

    Our friend Donal Fallon apparently.

If ye boardsies were producing/hosting the Tubridy morning show how would you do it?

Personally I'd start off with a small bit up upbeat chatter, not too much waffle, just a short warm up. I'd follow up with a short interview with somebody with a light-hearted jocular take on life, even the bad stuff. Then I'd play an upbeat song, with a short bit of chatter at the end of it. Then a chatter with a guest about a brand new bobby, where they return on a later show to see how they are getting on. Then some other end filler of current interest that isn't inane repetitious waffle, is positive, and devoid of any element of misery and doesn't keep going on about Christmas.

You've heard the new shocks of the day on morning Ireland, you know they are going to be expanded upon during the Today Show, and either misery or tedium on Joe Duffy, a magazine show on Farcy that may have misery but is perhaps slightly better handled and not inevitable, then more shocking news at Drivetime and News, and if it's Friday the most miserable slot will be before bedtime. Chance for RTÉ to give us a little genuine upbeat between 9 and 10, with a recipe completely different to Tubridy's.

Any ideas of yer own to fill that time slot?

I think the round up of the papers is a good feature. At 9am it may still actually be news to people so I have no issue with that segment but the cherry picking american political stories and then light weight lectures from the host on his personal hobby horse needs to go along with the gibberish rundown of the fantasy lifestyle of ryan.

The 1 on 1 interview needs to go too, I dont know if it's due to the volume of interviewees required that the substance of calls is reduced to misery daily or if thats an actual decision they have made to actually persue but it's horrible. A conversation group could be more interesting in its place to briefly discuss a topic of the day / general topics. A feature like a quiz with different themes every week / month could be interesting and engaging. Or a weekly standing guest to discuss the weeks sport / movies / tv / events around the country.

    So 9:05- 9:15: Papers
9:20 - 9:35 : Discussion or interview that isnt clearly filler.
    9:40 - 9:50 : Quiz
9:50 -10:00 : recurring guest to speak on topic of choice

This is a 9am programme on rte 1 but it's so lightweight it seems more suitable to 2fm mid morning. I believe this is largely due to the currents hosts disinterest in the show and lack of preparation and effort put into it in general.

Tubridy talking to young kid, and immediately sounds creepy.

"I'm giving you a break from me", he says. Patronising AF.

Yet another week of holidays is completely justified in his deluded little mind. Why?! Because he has exerted himself over the course of a few days in preparation for his Toy Show dance routine.

He couldn't possibly be expected to keep up his ten-hour working week until his extended Christmas break, could he!? I mean, he's had to put his Toy Show costume on about five times in the last 3 weeks. And he's had to learn TWO songs. The man needs a break FFS!

And luckily enough his well-earned break coincides with the US election. Obviously it's in our interests for History Guy to take the week off to process his thoughts on this. Then he can return with some more insightful political opinions.

This a man who has zero grasp of the concept work.
