The blatant hinting and touting for freebies is beyond parody now.

In case it passed you by, Tubridy is looking for:

    A new quiet coffee machine,
    A trip to Iceland.

Any screenshots of the application process to back this up? It's not that I wouldn't believe it, but would be good to see it in black & white without revealing any of the applicant's details.

    Link is dead now...... https://www.rte.ie/tv/programmes/latelate/2020/1009/1170484-apply-to-be-in-the-toy-show-virtual-audience/

So no, I cannot provide documented proof, but I'm sure there will be others who can verify in due course.

Don't be silly - sure Daithi is not Todd Andrews Grandson or David Andrews Nephew.

If you have ever wondered how someone who has next to no on-screen charisma and still hasn't learned how to interview someone capably even after all these years when he could have tried to improve some bit, then just look at Ryan's family tree and think about who runs RTE.

You have encapsulated it - in one post. I take my hat off to you.

Did Tubridy's relations work in RTE?

And the next question is, “will Tubridy’s relations work in RTÉ?”

    Not sure they'll work there.

They may spend a small amount of their leisure time there and get paid a scandalous amount for doing so, if they're following in the footsteps of the DLB. :D

Friday night is Roald Dahl themed.

I think this is the only context in which one could ever address Tubridy as "Fabulous"

Is it my imagination or has the hype surrounding the toy show been blown out of all proportion since Tubridy took over the Late Late Show? I see article headlines in the Irish Examiner every day this week counting down the sleeps. That advert with the father and daughter watching it from the car gets on my wick FFS.
