Could add 'freebie requests' to the list. Trip to iceland and Christmas vinyl to kick it off. Actualy encouraging the freebies is arguably worse than passively receiving them and negates the usual excuse that he cant control what is sent in or not.
At this point the list is so so rediculous to scroll through it makes the point more impactful than I had intended. Good work everyone!

    Missed most of today's show.

On the freebie begging bowl list we can also add a quiet coffee machine from last week.

100%. He expects things to be handed to him. Just wants his frivolous requests to be catered to. No effort, no work, no payment on his behalf.

I just spent the grand total of 30 seconds on ebay and found various copies of the exact item for sale there.

On reflection I wonder if the vinyl request is targeted at someone / some shop in particular as there was previous requests for a non slip mat for a vinyl player or something like THAT.

How dare you enjoy something that is presented by someone - who is avidly denigrated on boards.ie. With a thread primarily created with the same goal! :D
You must not have read the memo!?
Saying that Tubridy does anything half decent on this thread (without making it a backhanded compliment) is almost sacrilegious!

I believe most people on this thread listen to Tubridy 'ironically' as it is the hipster thing to do. And a lot surely think to themselves 'I could have done that job as well if I had the connections, and RTE nepotism etc'.

However, I believe Tubridy's core listenership are not on this thread at all. It is just set up as piece of satire between a small clique of posters who enjoy critiquing it, negatively in the main. I follow this thread to follow their annoyance. It is funny to read. I rarely listen to the show either.

But, I am delighted you enjoyed the Toy Show, because it will wind the clique up on this thread no end! Plus, it is nice people can find a bit of happiness in the simple things in life. Even though some almost resent you for it!

    Winding up the clique 😂😂

I have no begrudgery towards the man, fair play to him, if people like him fine.

    Lol —- I’ll never tell !!

But seriously, has someone actually compiled a list of stuff he allegedly asks to receive free ??

Does nobody have any other hobbies ?

Let's be clear. The list is in two parts:

    1. Stuff he says on air, on his radio programme, that he has received free.

    2. Stuff he drops hints for.

There is no "allegedly" about it.

    Its not a hobby, it's a public service. :p ....
and we're all very thankful for THAT here.

That's an odd conclusion to draw based on the fact that someone wrote a list.

What do you think of the show? Do you think Tubridy is earning his half a million per year? Or are you just here to troll "the clique"?

Putting all comments down to Irish begrudgery is a bit lazy. Have you anything worthwhile to say, positive or negative, about the show?

Why is it sad? To hold RTE staffers and contactors accountable for their outrageous remuneration and fees etc.?

Do you know what's sad? A fella taking half a million a year from our pockets asking for freebies - that's sad, and the whiff of entitlement from it is disgusting. Pay for it yourself if you want it that badly - it's not like you can't afford it FFS.

And this behaviour should not be permitted by RTE Management who once again demonstrate their absolute reluctance to halt the talent's  outrageous abuse of their positions.

He made millions for kids? Are you actually serious? You're acting like he gave it himself. Dustin the Turkey could have hosted The Toy Show and the donations would have been the same - it had nothing to do with the host, it is the institutor of The Toy Show that elicited the donations, not Bryan.

The show would actually have been better if Dustin hosted it IMO.

The influx of derisory contrarian types into the forum of late, is most amusing.

If only Tubbers had such staunch allies on Twitter, he might still be there.

I think the amount of posts you have about his show is a clue as to who is more worked up..You seem obsessed with the guy...

Ah the “obsessed” defence again when anyone dares to criticize the superstar talent in RTÉ.
