Pity he couldn't make this interview about cocaine.

He was overdue a break though. He could hardly have been expected him to work straight through to the extended Christmas break after his pre-toy show week off without taking some time in between.

Does Ryan ever interview the addicts?

He asked Eamon Dunphy about cocaine use on the LLS once. Dunphy called out cocaine use in RTE. It ended up being a bit awkward for the DLB.

Sounds like he went on a bender for a few weeks and is dragging it out to make out he was like Oliver fooking Reed or something..

    Odd interview...

Thats the story with half of those celebrity addicts, they drank a small bottle of vodka onetime and now they're proclaiming to all they were on a bottle of vodka a day onetime, a good session would kill most of em

It got him a few freebies anyway, but he will probably stick at it until he gets that free trip to Iceland.

Lots of puffin related freebies mentioned too.

I heard cards, t shirts, but was sure there was something else as well. I'll listen back.

    Yeah, right!

I do worry for a lot of the populace who seem to spend the day listening to the radio and crying.

I think she described herself as a journalist.

She wants him to be well-known... that's what she said. So is this the show to get your deceased parents made famous? (All due respect to caller's bereavement here)

I suppose anyone who uses social
    Media is a journalist now.

Hmmmm. My father died round the same time as hers. Maybe I should give it a go, and then ask Tubridy about the freebies?

That's why I was asking if either her or her dad was well known, cos all she is saying about her dad I could say about mine.

He died 27 years ago and my mum still misses him dearly and her life is affected to this day without him. They were best friends etc etc and she still cries about him not being there.

Perhaps I should get on the show for a chat.

I can't think of any other broadcaster (RTE) that I'm familiar with that has such a policy of constant misery/death in every single bit of output.
    It's quite extraordinary.
