    Ha Ha

You wouldn't see it on Alan Partridge. Ryan's latest crusade is to get people to use the phone instead of texting. "Why don't you pick up that phone and make or take a call?". Then he takes a call and the line is so crap he has to take an ad break .

He really is a 1950's throwback. I'm convinced he thinks he's a slick old school Jimmy Stewart.

When in reality,he's a 45year old grandfather styled on 7ups mascot Fido Dido .

Better still to make the phone call from a phone box! Intriguing.

RTE preparing the mindset for the forthcoming election in the US.

Biden = good, Trump = bad.

Let's see how the American electorate feel about it.

Yes Ryan, we know you don't use a smartphone

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,138 ✭✭✭Uncharted

    Iv heard it all. :pac:

Is this sweeping brush handle for real ???

" The tyranny of the ticks " he refers to Whattsapp as.

    He's absolutely ridiculous. Such s 1950's throwback.

"Belle is a good name for a little girl. I could roll with that"

    Ryan approves so it's OK.

"Well, I don't work in a family business, but........"

    bahahahahaaaaaa :-)

Its funny how in attempt to get away from the obligations of technology he is actually as under the thumb as anybody in that just as much effort and time is expended preaching that he doesnt use smart phones as if actually using them.

"Ten years ago when I was 28 I was a bit too serious about those things".

"And what age are you now"

That's like something I would have expected D'Arcy to ask.

"If I'm boring you... well......sorry about that"

No Ryan, you're not boring at all. Please tell us more about how you dont like WhatsApp. Feel free to continuously use the term "being bundled into the back of a van" while doing so.

Do keep up, J. Darcy would have asked his age in the second or third question before asking how many kids, their names and their ages.

^^ he also would have probably asked , "what height are you now versus 10 years ago?"

Considering we can't vote in it, it doesn't matter what mindset Rte adopt.

"Intriguing" is not a word that you use several times a day. He can't be fascinated about fairly basic things. Although the world outside Montrose is like a different planet to him.

Mentions also for "peculiar" and "bonkers".
I just heard another one that I've heard him say a few times "Dickensian"

He is fascinated by these peasants as he wanders around Newbridge house, swinging his ivory cane, whilst wearing his top hat and glaring at them through his monocle.

    Jolly hockey sticks. Huzzzzah.

He also slipped in a mention to Roald Dahl, not to mention school and JFK.

He really is like a broken record.

The over-pronunciations of the "wh" is starting to grate too.

I heard him exclaim this morning like a character from a Dickens novel....

" that fireplace was just screaming at me for the fire to be lit "

    ..... ffs!!!

I heard that Tubridy was brought in for questioning in regard to that party that Conor McGregor was at a while back. Did anybody else hear that? Not that he did anything wrong, just that he gave a statement in relation to another crime in the vicinity of the party (the alleged crime that was front page news on the papers)

That story is doing the rounds yes.

And you thought he was a misery p0rn ghoul :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,154 ✭✭✭mistersifter

I wonder how much of his half mil per year he gives away. Hopefully it's a considerable amount given the sh*te he's spouting there this morning.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,632 ✭✭✭✭Beechwoodspark

He is so tetchy when it comes to perfectly reasonable criticism that comes in from his audience
