It's a shame that RTÉ lost Shane O'Donoghue to CNN. He was a great counterbalance to Tubridy, and the two worked great together.

I always think of the show on mornings during the leaving cert, they were my 6am alarm clock and the show was pretty entertaining (at least, compared to maths theoroms, or learning some obscurities of the genitive case in Irish).

For the kind of show he's doing, Tubs needs a co-host.

As I said on the ‘2fm 40’ thread, ‘The Full Irish’ was one of the best breakfast shows in 2fm’s history - Ryan was actually FUNNY, spontaneous and didn’t resort to constant misery p0rn

And as for Francis Brennan and his lessons on "correct" Irish wedding etiquette. Imagine going to see that eejit in Newbridge so he can tell you to buy people presents even if you're not going to their wedding. People could really do without this kind of ****e. As if they dont have anything else to be thinking about other than what colour dress or what kind of gift is acceptable to some bridezilla.

A wedding invitation to many people is like a summons these days with the expense of it. So p*ss off with your etiquette!

Dave Fanning on that slot was really good. Probably better than Tubbs so thats why they dont have him.

She's doing a lot of talking over the Maradona guest. If she put in half the time researching Maradona as she does rattling on she might improve. She's very loud. Very excited. I think she's full of Hello! magazine kind of stuff. Pity she has to go on a ten minute monologue at the start of the programme. (ie just gossipy/thrash talk from the papers in esssence. Nothing of value really.)
