Ryan Tubridy said both Gay and Gerry’s death had a massive impact on him.

‘I’m feeling that very much because Gerry was like a bold brother and Gay was like a godfather,’ Ryan revealed to The Herald.

Tubridy horrified this morning laughing at prince Andy.

For someone so interested in the Epstein story, weird he never mentioned it to Clinton last week.

    Must have forgot I'd say.

At what point does the radio show start counting as an advertisement for the late late. Like what's the threshold at which it becomes product placement or sponsor or a promotion or whatever?

What is it with these RTE folk.

Everyone seems to be attached obsessively with some over the hill performer.

A ten year old child could be forgiven for those antics, but grown ups...

    U2
    Bruce Springsteen
    Paul Mc Cartney
    Bob Dylan
John Prine.....etc etc... Jaysus lads ,grow up.

I hear Joe Duffy is a big fan of the Wolfe Tones.

I just have to laugh, he quotes Prince Andrew’s salary (leaving aside from the fact he has brought disgrace upon himself and the Windsor’s) and quite cynical about the amount of money he earns. Does he not think it ironic that he, Ryan Tubridy, is paid MORE for doing a much, much smaller state some service.

Tubs added: “I’ve taken a pay cut before. I took over 30% the last time and they’ve asked for more again which will bring it up to about 45% or (so) since I took the Late Late Show.

That's fine. But if hes willing to accept 45% drop on salary why isnt he threatening to walk and go to some other broadcaster ? Why was the gross original level offered in the first place if there is a willingness to accept 45% less a few years later?

This be kind to one another stuff, I've heard that Ellen one on about this as well. I heard some other numb nuts saying it as well but cant remember who.

Also just realised that a 15% cut on a figure that has already been reduced by 30% does not equate to a 45% cut. It's less than that.

This is definitely among the most hard-hitting recession stories.

It must've been horrible for Tubridy to see his wages drop to a humble 350k for a couple of years til they went back up again.

Serious cut backs on books and McCartney tickets, no doubt.

Not since 1916 has a man made such sacrifice for the Irish people.

I'd say it's the Shake N Vac salesman that is taking the greatest hit.
