Bryan or the caller? Or both?

A truthful answer could earn me a ban :)

That was awful radio. The only satisfaction I can take from it is knowing somewhere in Dublin right now Jennifer Gannon is having a meltdown at the laddish non-woke behaviour displayed by both parties there.

Aimlessly drifting in an ocean of very handy money, lots of it.;)

Show starts at 9 ,doesn't actually start until @ 9.05 /6, waffles in for 20 mins reading the papers. Ad break 2 mind. It's now 9.30. Probably 4 more breaks @ 2 mins each, a guest from the canteen or a phone call ,hands over to the news @ 09.59.
    Rinse and repeat.
    ( I'm cranky every day :):) )

I don't think I've ever quoted one of my own posts. HOWEVER

    I stand by yesterday's one.

I have a feeling that lad might know as much about I.T as he did about diamonds, but sure sales is a different animal altogether.

I'd say the fact that he went to BlackRock school gets dropped into most conversations. Its like a clue for other fellow past pupils (like Ryan) to pick up on and then possibly deliver preferential treatment thus widening the old boys club circle. I personally havnt mentioned the school I went to in over 10 years and I'm younger than 35!

I would imagine you're 100% correct on that assumption.

I'd also imagine he says "when I was playing rugby for Blackrock College..." into every sales and chat up conversation too, colosely followed by "but for my injury I could have been the next Brian O'Driscoll".

As soon as I hear anything about Box Sets on Tubridy, bang!!!

Off button gets a hefty bruise or it could be “Alexa .....turn that fcuker off” if I am not in the motor.

Haven’t gotten her trained properly yet....must get on to Amazon see if there is a skill for that.

No she was being kind and generous as she headed off the pressure on my throat :)

An Irish Election is my All-Ireland, a US Election is my Olympics.

Jo Jo Rabbit is one of the most curious and intruiging movies I've seen.

"I've never been to the Galapagos" - coming in Summer 2020 "Bryan Tubridy's Galapagos", a 16 part TV show where Bryan read books to animals on the Galapagos Islands.

"I've bought myself a corduroy suit, and it's quite smart. James Bond is wearing one in the new film, and there he goes. So if you think corduroy is for fuddy duddies, it's ok for Bond. So there you go."

    Cue Sean Connery impression.

Looks like it'll be wall to wall Jo Jo rabbit for a while

Maybe he might wear it on the LLS.

He has been wearing a blue one now for about 5 years straight.

It's very rarely that I'll watch TLLS, is he still not wearing the tie this season as it represents the patriarchy and he (like RTE) is really woke? Or has he gone back to wearing it?

i really enjoyed it by the way, just in case tubs ruins it for everyone!!

I guess it would be naive for me to believe a satirical movie about nazi's wouldn't blow tubs little socks off

Was listening in the background, caught this beauty from the quiz:

Tubs: Which of the Kray twins Ronnie or Reggie died in 1995
    Caller: Roggie

Reminds me of the time I was watching Winning Streak and they were at the stage where you have to get 3 wheels to spin the wheel. Marty asks the auld dear to pick a number between 1 and 5. Auld dear says "6".

    And this:

Saoirse Ronan mention within 60seconds, prob. 30seconds actually.

  • Registered Users Posts: 53,028 ✭✭✭✭ButtersSuki

Bryan Tubridy Film Critic is deeeee-lighted for Saoirse nonetheless.
    Joker is a bonkers film.
I was talking to a guy in a BOOK shop yesterday. Of course you were.

"Ford versus Ferrari.. wouldn't watch it.. couldn't watch it"

Too much toxic masculinity, I suppose.
