All the 3rd party Leaf apps are dependent on the same Nissan infrastructure to work. They all use the same login credentials as well.

Just to add to the list... if you have iOS you should check out the EVA app.
I find it quicker and a better UI.

Would never buy an Apple product ..... Android all the way!;)

Guys, I've this weird constant low volume beep coming from under the bonnet. Started yesterday for no apparent reason.
It goes away when I lock/unlock the doors, but comes back after maybe 10 seconds of inactivity.
    Any ideas?

Battery in the key fob, maybe?
I think the car beeps when it senses the key going away while its still turned on and if the battery is going low it might be interpreting that as someone walking away with the key

    A complete guess.

    Don't think so.
Changed the battery in the fob yesterday.
The beep you're talking about. This is about quarter of that volume, and constant. So weird.
I disconnected the 12V for a few minutes last night to try cure it too, but no joy.

You don't know the location of the speaker under the bonnet do you?

    I dont.

    Anything on Leafspy?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,119 ✭✭✭✭KCross

Doesnt the car also beep while driving for seat belts and open doors.

So, maybe you have a bad connection on one of those sensors.

Were you hoovering under the seats recently and knocked off a connector?

Maybe open/close all the doors, fasten and unfasten each seat belt etc. See if you can spot anything that way.

That's internal though. This isn't audible inside the car, and seems to come from under the "engine".

I never tested it but I assumed it had an alarm built-in?

It certainly beeps and makes enough noise anyway... ask Soarer! :)

I only discovered it a few days ago, but there is an alarm bult-in. If you try to unlock the car with the physical key it will start going on.

    Question re: public charging.

Wondering if I stopped another cars charging?

When I arrived at a public charger yesterday there was a PHEV using the right hand side. The display read 'charging'.

The left side read 'ready for charging', so I presented my card to it, it did the usual procedure, opened the left hand side panel to allow me to connect my lead.

After I did this I noticed the other side had stopped charging. I'm not sure if it just happened to have reached full charge while I was there, or if my intervention stopped their charging?

    Could have been either scenario.
There is a bug in some standard/destination chargers where a second session can interrupt the first.

But 2 cars can charge at the same time normally?

Yes, intended functionality is that two cars can charge simultaneously.
But some of these units date back to 2011/12 and there has been very little maintenance and increasing utilization.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,598 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

I kinda felt bad, as the person may have returned to a car expecting it to be fully charged and it might not have been!

Then again, maybe it did happen to fully charge just as I landed.

Anything between €8k to €36k, depending on the model, year, spec.

Nissan quote their prices with all grants already included, bar delivery, extras and met paint.

So your looking at €30k plus for a new one?

    Yes.
    Specs to pick from:
    SV
    SV Premium
    SVE
SV - if you negotiate with the dealer might be gotten for €30k with no extras.

If you are patient enough and not worried of buying nearly new (I would definitely have no worries here as long as the car is in good condition) you could get an imported SVE for about €30-32k.

I got the SV Premium new with cold pack & metallic paint for just under 31k OTR in July. No trade-in
