Yellow shirt gone grey - please help

Hi, I recently machine washed my OH's favourite yellow cotton sports tshirt. However it has come out a greyish yellow colour. Is there anyway I can brighten it up as this tshirt means the world to him? Please help me,and apologies if this is the wrong thread

Try washing with a dose of vanish, it will lighten it but may not take all the grey away.
