Then a load of players would be injured and unavailable to play because of groin injuries that mysteriously appeared

Phil Jones would be the happiest man in England

    via @barcastuff

"Sports director says I said I want out? He shouldn't say that, I barely talked with him. I talked with the president and others."

"This is a difficult situation for me, of course I wanted to start. I don't know what will happen, but I will always be a Barça fan."

"Do I want to leave? The answer is 'No', but my situation is difficult. It's not about money, but about more playing time."

"I have spoken with my colleagues, I do not know what will happen, I give a million thanks to this club because I will always be Barcelona"

By sounds of that he's said his goodbyes (or asked for advice from players - I'm just going to believe the former :pac:).

Giggsy wouldn't belong moving from his seat next to LVG if Eva Carneiro started working for Utd :D

Don't even put a euro on it. Check the odds of him joining Bayern and put a tenner on. Weekend sorted.

the amount of people buying the new jersey is unreal. is there anywhere that is reporting figures sold so far?

Jesus, Hristo Stoichkov can fair hold a grudge can't he? He's wasn't the first to player at a big club to get farmed out when the writing was on the wall that his star was fading and won't be the last. At this stage he's looking like more and more of a whinge bag every time LVG is brought up in his presence.

    Glazers Out!

The Jersey is selling well cause they are very nice.

It's amazes me that a Big Business like United and Nike combo never really could get a excellent Jersey going.

Yea I've seen loads of people wearing the jerseys since last week and the new training gear. In fairness it's been years since there's been nice clothes for united fans think people happy to buy it now

The away tops were always better, that said I think the new Blue training top looks better than the home shirt itself, probably down to the absence of the Chevrolet logo.

€30m, barca say it won't be lowered. united, apparently, are reluctant to pay the full amount as pedro will have little sell-on value.

united aren't really in a position to let this one slip by.

Wonder how genuine the reported City interest is in him.

Could be genuine, or it could be a ploy from Pedro's agent to try to quicken the process with United. City played the best football of the weekend from what I could see, definitely the best from the Top 4 rivals. Them ending up with Pedro would be both scary and frustrating.

If it's game time he's looking for, he won't find it at City.

Are the new rules not that if he plays for us in the qualifiers but we go out he can still play for another team? but if we win and he plays he would be cup tied for the whole tournament.

    Man Utd squad:

    David de Gea, Anders Lindegaard, Sergio Romero, Sam Johnstone;

Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Jonny Evans, Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw, Paddy McNair, Matteo Darmian, Tyler Blackett; Antonio Valencia, Daley Blind

Adnan Januzaj, Michael Carrick, Ashley Young, Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini, Morgan Schneiderlin, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Jesse Lingard, Andreas Pereira; Memphis Depay, Juan Mata,

Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, James Wilson.

So 28 man squad which is what is allowed

Only one of note missing is Valdes but not surprising either especially with 4 goalkeepers on it

Navas started last night for city and didn't contribute much, surely Pedro would get his game ahead of him.

If De Gea is def going to leave then I'd love to see him go to Barca. Swap deal with Pedro, no money changing hands. It would be comical just to spite Madrid

The max number of senior players on the A list is 25, including the 8 home grown players. Players under 21 don't need to be included on that list though and can go on the B list. There's no limit to how many can go on the B list. Could be thousands if you had them.

There are least 5 players there who qualify for the B list, so there's room left for Pedro. :pac:

So if we buy a couple of players before the windows shut they can't play UCL until we register again for the knockouts? assuming we make it that far.

You can add one more player to the A list after the deadline, right up until the day before the first leg.

That's assuming, of course, that United actually have 8 home grown players on the A list.

Pedro might as well have ripped off the barca jersey to reveal his new red jersey there at the cup presentation, he was that much out of the celebrations.

    Done deal

About the new rules for Cup Tied players.. seems that if DeGea plays for us in the qualifiers he would still be able to play for Real in the groups.
42.07 As a rule, a player may not play in a UEFA club competition (i.e. UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, but not UEFA Super Cup) for more than one club in the course of the same season. Exceptionally, however, a player who has been fielded in the first, second, third qualifying round or the play-offs of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League is entitled to play in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League for another club as from the group stage. Moreover, as from the start of the round of 16, a player can be registered in accordance with Paragraph 44.01 to Paragraph 44.04. A substitute player who has not been fielded is entitled to play for another club competing in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League in the course of the same season, provided that he is registered with the UEFA administration in accordance with the present regulations.
