    Heavy shower in Arklow, if you look at radar loop,it built up in SW wicklow quickly about 2hrs ago with sea breeze convergence

    These showers are very localised. We drove up the M50 from here (very light drizzle) to Nutgrove shopping center where there was full on monsoon conditions which never reached here looking at my stations logs.
    I couldn't help but think, what if it was January!

    I'm just 'up the hill' (towards the mountains) from Nutgrove. Looking at radar, it should be heading your way. Easing off now. 8.4mm (so far).

    After an overnight low of 11C, the day started well...but showers with even a touch of thunder and lightening have deposited 8.2mm so far and they haven't gone away yet.

    Max an Autumnal 15.1C; calm all day.

    Summer goes out with a miserable whimper (apart from a few bolts of lightening).....
