Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's a really enjoyable film particularly for John Gielguds performance.

This makes me sad. Absolutely one of the best ensemble cast movies ever. In fact it probably doesn't count as an ensemble cast as they were all pretty unknown then they made it. Glenn Close, Jeff Goldblum, Kevin Kline, Meg Tilly, Tom Berenger, William Hurt... Even Kevin Costner is in it (uncredited as Alex) It's also written & directed by Lawrence Kasdan (Empire Strikes Back Raiders of the lost ark & the upcoming untitled Han Solo Movie among other absolute classics)

    Just look at the trailer:

Actually a very funny movie, well worth a watch. It's a sort of spoof style movie featuring a load of random segments - fake film trailers, advertisements, interviews, TV shows, etc.

"A Letter to Three Wives". Looks like it was in black and white judging by the still from the trailer. Never heard of it, but then I was never big into films. Anyway, probably most films were black and white in 1949!

Would imagine it was one of those British classics with the upper crust accents and oh so terribly romantic - "Strangers on a Train" type of thing.
