"Deals" in insurance are meaningless - getting 2 months free or whatever is no good if that company is 30% more expensive to start with.

I recently renewed mine and found FBD to be the cheapest; GetCover.ie were the next cheapest.

Tried both of them but both dearer than my renewal - thanks though

I got my insurance through 123.ie.

Contents only as it's for an apartment but I could not find cheaper for the level of cover required.

Thanks but they're over my renewal too.

Try KBC, they where very competitive when I checked with them, I got even better deal when I told them I was already a customer as well....

Thanks but it doesn't beat my renewal price.
Thinking now I should just take the renewal price but it's not due for another couple of weeks so will hold out a bit longer.

You need to make sure when checking you have the correct rebuild cost etc included. Most insurance companies never have this correct

Just got my renewal from Chill, €7 cheaper than last year, not sure if it is a deal, but.....better than nothing.

You're probably better off sticking with your renewal so ;)

Call around the other companies named here, tell them your renewal price and ask them to beat it!!

I used Chrome insurances, quite a bit cheaper than anyone else I could find.

Got word back but they don't beat renewal either.

Thanks for all the replies - I'm sticking to what's on offer for the renewal.
