Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Vet fees - kittens

Does anyone have a rough idea of what reasonable fees are for a general check up on a kitten?

We have a temporary visitor on foster, and we are wary in case he has anything that could transfer to our own cat. Funds at our end are a little tight, but we could hopefully stretch to the first visit as it would also protect our own puss. Currently they're separated but we want to socialise the kitten a bit more too

Have you checked out The Blue Cross? They offer mobile subsidised vet care if eligible.

Is your own cat up to date on his vaccinations?

My own is up to date - had a check up / top up in May.

I took the kitten in this afternoon - general check up, first round of vaccinations, worming, de-flea and chipping for €70. The rescue is (permanently) broke, but it's my birthday today so my gift is a vets bill :) I'm on a diet anyway, so I don't need dinner out... :D

    That sounds very reasonable.
