An appeal has been issued to find 40-year-old Raymond Walsh, who has been missing from Galway City since 4 August.

Mr Walsh was last seen just off Newcastle Road in the city between 12pm and 12.30pm.

He was last seen wearing blue pyjamas and may be wearing a black hoodie and a grey beanie hat.

He was wearing green ‘Gola’ runners with black stripes.

Mr Walsh is described as being 1.72m tall (5’ 8’’), of medium build with red/brown hair and some facial hair.

He has a cross with Indian ink on one of his forearms.

Gardaí have asked anyone who may know where Mr Walsh is or who can help in locating him to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111 or any garda station.

Unfortunately, this ended tragically. Ray was found yesterday by Gardai.

I'm closing this thread, but any poster wishing to offer their condolences, please head here. Link to AH thread

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
