Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Abysmal defending for both their goals.
    :(

Wasn't a corner for the Hammers' second goal. But it doesn't excuse the farcical defending that followed.

    De Bruyne pulls one back.

That was a poor tackle by Obiang. Not a red, but very late.

Well done to West Ham. Undeserved, but I'm sure they don't give a flying fcuk about that.

Watching Newcastle and Sunderland on MOTD is hilarious. If they got together and put 22 players on the pitch I'm not sure they'd win a game.

    They wouldn't...it's against the rules.

Scored more goals than City and defended brilliantly so...

From a purely football fan point of view, really excited watching Martial and Depay, if they get to their potential they will be magical to watch in a few years

Kane to score his first goal(s) of the season but city to still get the win.

WBA-Everton is the Monday night game.

Have no idea what to make of Everton's back line. Injuries decimating them.

How long has this tactical cam jobby been an option on the red button? I'm liking watching the match with a much more zoomed out view nd being able to see half to 3/4 of the pitch all the time. Gives a much better view of the overall play rather than the immediate area around the ball.

only since this season afaik. that or something similar is the way gary neville watches at the start of games & other times throughout, heard him talking about it on a podcast with graham hunter

Awful game of football so far.

Nearly 45 minutes of silence interrupted by inconsiderate WBA fans celebrating a goal.

Is Barkley one of the most over rated players in the Premier League? Reminds me of Wilshere in a way. I just don't see what's supposedly so special about him.

    Offside for Kone?

He's blowing hot and cold again this season. Moments of brilliance and then mediocre performances.

Also, he doesn't do tap ins.

    West Brom are garbage.

Yet they'll be comfortably safe this season, which probably says more about the other teams down there like ourselves.

Callum Wilson out for 6 months with a cruciate injury. Along with Tyrone Mings and Max Gradel.
    Just bad luck?

City defence should really be doing better. Otamendi, Mangala & Fernando have all played together for Porto.

both Mangala and Otamendi were all over the gaff for the goal. Positional sense is off big time.

Newcastle should be 3 or 4 up at this stage. Got to feel they will rue these misses at the end of the game. Also have had a good goal ruled out for offside which the setanta commentators have missed completely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,831 ✭✭✭✭Nalz

Disgraceful attempts to close down from Fernando and some of the City defenders. They need to improve second half or they'll concede again

    1-1 as I type

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,350 ✭✭✭Cortina_MK_IV

McClaren must be gone after this. Is this a PL record for most goals conceded in so little time?

Aguero is back it would seem. The combo between De Bruyne, Silva and Aguero is frightening. De Bruyne proving a bargain already, how many assists and goals has he got so far?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,205 ✭✭✭Lucas Hood

    Interesting about Chelsea

@oilysailor: Eight points from eight games. No team has ever finished higher than 5th in the PL after a start like that. Average finish: 14th.

    Games today:

    15:00 Leicester City ? - ? Watford
    15:00 Manchester United ? - ? West Bromwich Albion
    15:00 Norwich City ? - ? Swansea City
    15:00 Sunderland ? - ? Southampton
    15:00 West Ham United ? - ? Everton
    17:30 Stoke City ? - ? Chelsea

Watching Bournemouth-Newcastle at the minute and as a Watford fan, it bodes well for staying up. Both are very poor.

Not doubting you Andre, but where are you getting the Aguero back story from? We're not really expecting him back til late november. Silva might be back just in time for him to get injured playing for Spain.
    :(

Swansea are in a right slump are they not? Apart from the win over Villa (which doesn't really count!) you have to go all the way back to the Man Utd game for a win in any comp.
