Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

More consistent now than at any point in his playing career.

Bastian walks onto the pitch and starts telling everyone how to play. Wonderful stuff.

Herrera on the way. Mata off?

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Up to now, Romero has played well, just do it for the remaining minutes.

Much better desire this half. Touch wood.

    Great play from Mata.

    Memphis off? That's disappointing

    Memphis is not happy!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,632 ✭✭✭✭Sand

Romero is doing the basic task well, which is encouraging. Hasn't had many saves to make, but has made them with little fuss when called upon. Looks a bit dangerous when the ball is played back to him but I presume they will focus on that in training.

I don't buy these excuses about rustiness and players making their debuts.

They've been together for weeks already and playing games together.

Are we going to have these excuses if there's a Winter break?

Very odd decision to take him off bad decision from lvg imo

    Well done Smalling

Looks like Basti's legs are well gone. Soft yellows like that will invite runners against him all season. Shame.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

I know I'm stating the obvious but we really, really need a second goal.

Schweini is the conductor of the orchestra

I think he's had a good start. Commanding in midfield

    Or a first

1-0 down on the first game of the Season and spurs aren't putting up a fight, such an average team with average expectations.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Could have done with Memphis here...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    Rooney, top left corner.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,632 ✭✭✭✭Sand

At 1-0 its still in the balance, but on overall play United look very comfortable. Spurs chasing shadows at times.

    Shaw switching on beast mode

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

If we don't score, it will be a nervy ending to the game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Shaw has so much pace. He's blessed!

We need that finishing touch bit of class up front. Young works hard but he's clearly not good enough.

Hope we can sort this before the end the window.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

LVG wants to make the game more exciting by playing Russian roulette with Valencia to come on for Darmian.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,632 ✭✭✭✭Sand

Valencia for Darmian is not a like for like change. LVG has big brass balls to make that change at 1-0 in a game like this.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,017 ✭✭✭Chagan

Looks like Darmian is coming off. Disappointing but I suppose Van Gaal is looking to build Valencia's match fitness. Hopefully I won't cost us.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 12,535 Mod ✭✭✭✭Amirani

    Darmian did well.

shda took off Rooney for a bit of pace.

  • Happy with darmian very tidy player

Darmian must be injured because I'd be getting Rooney off at this stage. Poor enough day from him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Owen just said it's because of cramp. That's fair enough I guess.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,595 ✭✭✭✭Trigger

    Darmian looks wrecked tbf
