Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Slight slip up but definitely against the run of play. We seemed to want to start slow so we should be pressing quickly this half. Sanchez on soon for Ramsey maybe. Giroud is being targeted but not hitting them yet. Walcott may be necessary.

Defence were looking very good up to the goal, disappointing though!

Brutal goalkeeping by Cech for the goal. Sure wouldnt hurt to play two natural wingers though?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,483 ✭✭✭brianregan09

Alexis and Wally on in the 2nd half to save us please. Giroud, Ozil and Debuchy have been awful today

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

Coq's distribution has been woeful, him and Ramsey not working well together.

Giroud playing too deep and we're whipping in too many high balls West Ham can handle that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

Id bring on Arteta for Coq at the break. We need someone who can play from deep.

Arsenal played some great stuff in pre season, now the real stuff starts and they struggle to string a few passes together. Poor decision-making bogging them down, it's been a 45 minutes that could best be described as a crisis of confidence. The hype going into this season has been behind them and right now they are crumpling under the weight of that expectation. Big second half needed.

They need something to pep them up!

    "Positive" isn't the word.

I suppose you think expecting to beat West Ham at home was unjustifiably delusional?

    Last season didn't happen.

    Walcott and Sanchez asap needed.

Maybe if things haven't changed after 60-70 mins. Not overly concerned, and they have a few players sitting on yellows.

I wast being serious- I thought the use of the hash tag might have given it away..,

There was a lot more cockiness in here than that to be fair. Sure some lads had it down as a hammering.

Is there such a thing as justifiably delusional?

Even having it down as a likely hammering wasn't exactly delusional. The Arsenal -2.5 market was like 2/1 pre match, we were massive favourites, and for good reason.

Backing Arsenal to win today it seems- everyone nearly had it on last man standing...

To be honest I have absolutely no idea of the point of using a hash tag here.

    Nice duck there.

I knew this wouldn't be an easy game most of West Hams EL games didn't feature there 1st team people saying 4 and 5 nil were truely mental if they believed it , We always have problems with West Ham but we do nearly always beat them , I think we'll turn them over in the 2nd half

Arsenal, even after all these years, don't have a plan B. When plan A doesn't work, we're still outdone by much lower opposition.

    Coquelin is fierce poor today

Get Arteta on for him tbh.

Why is Giroud out on the wing?

    Coquelin is fierce poor today

I've a feeling he is going to fall to the same fate as Song. Song had a great season for us at DM, then he died his hair and started to try get in on the action further up the pitch, and he was a much worse player for it. Coq needs to remember where his success comes from, and stick to it.

    Payet looks a serious player

    Coquelin is fierce poor today

Ramsey has lost possession 3 times in 5 mins.

    Early sub from Arsene!!

Why is Giroud out on the wing?

What is more annoying than Giroud on the wing, is when everyone in the team can see he's out there, and nobody is busting a gut to get in the box.

The definition of no back lift, little step to Cech's left undid him.

Zarate did brilliant tbh. Asked the question. If the goalkeeper couldn't answer it isn't his problem.
