I have some mates heading to this, Trenchtown are going to be setting up there and its a pretty decent line up too, I wish I was going myself but then I've got the Picnic to look forward to.

Never heard of it, looks cool though, very theatrical looking.
Good idea with all the different districts. A lot of thought gone into the different areas and stages.
I only recognise a few names on the line-up though.

No mention of this festival this year, anyone heading over?
Yeah I'm heading, phone has not stopped buzzing this last week with Whats app messages of old men trying to discover new ways of smuggling alcohol in to the site. Some quite clever I must add.
Any how see you there Friday littlered.

I'm seeing reports about this on Efestivals, bring wellies and waterproofs, heavy rain forecast for the weekend.

I'm here now, really a class old festival, akin to big chill festival but swap out the pop for decent stuff, first time at a festival where I'm actually happy to linger at main stage for a prolonged period

After being to most festivals in UK and Ireland I can hands down say this was by far the best I have ever been to. Serious set up and amazing venue

Yeah, by far the best festival I have had the joy of attending. From the pope wrestling two semi naked women to the hidden areas, to been tided to a chair blind folded and interrogated, and the general crack and banter.
    One hell of a festival.

The Skints replacing Barrington was a lovely end as well, I've never seen stages of that scale before, Banghai must have been double the size of the Pyramid at Glasto, Lions den could probably fit 30k in it too

Yeah Boomtown looks amazing I heard stories though about the specialised security, pulling up young folk skinning up in the arena, normal things that would normally be ignored during a festival. Pulling up some whilst other are smoking green around them. It doesn't make sense to have this policy why put one of the most interesting and druggiest festival line ups in the UK and not expect folk to get loaded to watch and listen to the music.

One hell of a weekend I have to say.
I was only dying to see King Prawn and they didn't disappoint.
So much fun everywhere, no trouble whatsoever.
    Barely noticed security all weekend.

There been some very high profile drug related deaths over the years. The one last year sounded horrendous. They declared a zero tolerance to ket a few years ago after another death , anyone seen with it or suspected to be on it would be kicked out. Dunno how it worked out.

Obviously this all has nothing to do with weed but this security is obviously some measure to keep police and authorities happy.

From what i hear they have a bit of a tenuous relationship with the local authority who gives them the license , mostly due to noise restrictions. The restrictions were so unworkable arcadia decided to part ways this year.

Granted it still looks amazing from this years photos. Must really go some year.

I've worked the festival circuit last ten years uk and ireland, and this is the only one I would ever consider going to for fun, its amazing, take all the best parts of glasto and add a dash or madness and youve got boomtown

what a fest!! even witnessed the car park blaze and heard all the petrol tanks exploding! stayed in hotel nearby, which made it a lot easier to survive it all. never thought i would say it, but it beats glasto for me!
