Will AIB fixed rate fall even lower?

    With the variable rate falling to 3.65%, do you see their current one year 3.5% fixed rate going even lower in October?

    Unlikely - the banks had to be brow-beaten to make the current reductions.

    Interest rates are at the bottom and unlikely to drop. With the fall in the euro, I would expect them to rise modestly over next year or two

    Why would they offer a three year fixed rate of 3.65% if they think rates will rise over the coming years?

    Wouldn't that suggest they think rates will fall even further?
