Clemson D is struggling already and now Shaq Lawson looks done for the foreseeable future of this game. It's not looking good.

    FAKE PUNT SUCCESS! :D

Talk about a throw going in slow motion. I thought it'd never reach the receiver! :pac:

That Clemson secondary makes the Ravens look like they have several Revis's.

Such a ridiculous throw from Watson there. 15 seconds left, down 1 point in FG range and he lobs it up in end zone and is intercepted. They also get the ball to start the 3rd quarter so could have been 2 up and getting the ball back. Idiotic.

Great game this. Clemson came up short in the red zone on a few occasions in that half, may cost them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,029 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

It's a cracking game, Clemson are messing up a lot on offense. If they were their usual selves on offense this would be over with all the chances they have had.

Lolls like Oklahoma have now lost their second choice running back but Perine looks like he might be ready to go again.

Clemson D doing well in this 3rd quarter, they really need their offense to score a TD here.

    There it is, 30 - 17.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Really superb game this. One of the best of the season. Big drive coming up for Oklahoma.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭polaris68

Mayfield picked off. Another TD for Clemson here should seal this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭polaris68

Clemson defense totally dominant now. Tigers can ride them all the way to Glendale.

That fan sniffing her drink to make sure it was vodka and not water. :pac:

That's the (slight) upset complete anyway!

    37-17, Clemson.

Fantastic effort from their D after losing Lawson so early on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,029 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

They've been brilliant and I couldn't believe they weren't favourites. They are the only unbeaten team in the country and they have shown all the qualities you want to see in a team to stay unbeaten. D steps up when the offense is sputtering, they fight hard and dig in when they go behind.

Gonna watch the first hour of the other semi- final, I think that'll be enough to confirm what way it's going to go. I really fancy Alabama are going to thump Michigan State.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭polaris68

Alabama are going to be focused after what happened last year. Hard to see them losing but go Sparty!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭polaris68

Both Ds dominating. Who's gonna blink first?

That block from Cam Robinson.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Brilliant defensive battle so far. I prefer these type of games so much more than shootouts.

Ridley has some jets. He'll be playing on Sundays.

Kiffin dials up the deep pass from Coker to Ridley. One play later Henry punches it in.

    Tide are rolling.

It's very hard to see how Michigan State can overcome that Alabama defense. I know it's only a 10 point game but it's difficult to see a way back for them in the second half.

Awful throw from Connor Cook there. Spartans needed at least a field goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,029 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Cyrus Jones returns the punt, 24-0 and game over. Alabama are just all over the Spartans.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,818 ✭✭✭Bateman

That final could finish 3-0 to someone

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,029 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

31-0 now, it's going pretty much as I expected. This time it was Calvin Ridley again.

Max Redfield and Jerry Tillery not playing for Notre Dame in the upcoming Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State for violating team rules.

Doesn't augur well for the mindset of the Irish players for this game.

And Sheldon Day is reportedly struggling with a injured foot.

If Ohio St are at the races this could get nasty.

It's impossible to predict ohios form though. Hopefully ND beat them, I don't like how Meyer and Ohio acted and performed this year.

The phrase knife through butter springs to mind.

Huge turnaround. Bosa ejected from the game. He was dominating the game. Seemed harsh to me but commentators say it was a fair call

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭polaris68

Notre Dame really need a TD on this drive.

    There it is. Nice drive.

Yeah it was a nice drive but very lucky on that 4th and 1 earlier. I've a feeling they are going to get spanked even after that drive.

    Yup, Buckeyes got Elliott.

  • Registered Users Posts: 148 ✭✭Pegasusbridge

Finally the coaches decide to give elliot a few more touches

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭polaris68

Notre Dame D line are a beaten docket, this is going to be embarrassing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭polaris68

Well done Kizer. 1st and goal, a TD here would leave a glimmer of hope.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭polaris68

Turnover! That's the break the Irish needed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,029 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Ugh, another int. They get back in the game and then the Buckeyes turn it on it seems. Got it down to seven points and there is Elliott again and then the interception.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭polaris68

That's it, Irish scrapped well but were overwhelmed on Defense.

  • Registered Users Posts: 148 ✭✭Pegasusbridge

Good win by the buckeyes. It'll be interesting to see how they do next year as they are probably going to lose a lot of players to the NFL. I'm looking forward to seeing how zeke gets on playing on Sundays

McCaffrey is just ridiculous. I wonder how he is going to do at the next level, he is just so electric.

  • Registered Users Posts: 121 ✭✭Langdon Alger

    McCAffrey is special

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭polaris68

Getting really ugly for the Hawkeyes, McCaffery is a machine.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,029 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Early in the second quarter and McCaffrey already has 202 all purpose yards and 2 tds.

Cardinals are playing lights out D too and are already up 28-0.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭polaris68

    Fake fumble, a trick play I haven't seen before. 35 - 0.

Clearly Ohio State should have gone to the Rose Bowl with Iowa playing the Fiesta Bowl.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 583 ✭✭✭mooreman09

Very disappointed with the postseason so far.

Same. Idk why the playoffs were on NYE. Also, the bowl games haven't been close for the most part. It's not fun watching a team get run over. Hopefully the national title game is close.

Oregon already up 21 - 0 on TCU, end of the 1st.

    Big 12 suck!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭polaris68

Horned frogs on the cusp of a comeback for the ages!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭polaris68

Overtime it is, 31 point comeback.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭polaris68

TCU do it in triple OT. Kohlhausen the backup QB won't have to buy a beer in Forth Worth, Texas for the rest of his life!
