That's the (slight) upset complete anyway!

    37-17, Clemson.

Fantastic effort from their D after losing Lawson so early on.

They've been brilliant and I couldn't believe they weren't favourites. They are the only unbeaten team in the country and they have shown all the qualities you want to see in a team to stay unbeaten. D steps up when the offense is sputtering, they fight hard and dig in when they go behind.

Gonna watch the first hour of the other semi- final, I think that'll be enough to confirm what way it's going to go. I really fancy Alabama are going to thump Michigan State.

Alabama are going to be focused after what happened last year. Hard to see them losing but go Sparty!

Both Ds dominating. Who's gonna blink first?

That block from Cam Robinson.

Brilliant defensive battle so far. I prefer these type of games so much more than shootouts.

Ridley has some jets. He'll be playing on Sundays.

Kiffin dials up the deep pass from Coker to Ridley. One play later Henry punches it in.

    Tide are rolling.

It's very hard to see how Michigan State can overcome that Alabama defense. I know it's only a 10 point game but it's difficult to see a way back for them in the second half.

Awful throw from Connor Cook there. Spartans needed at least a field goal.

Cyrus Jones returns the punt, 24-0 and game over. Alabama are just all over the Spartans.

That final could finish 3-0 to someone

31-0 now, it's going pretty much as I expected. This time it was Calvin Ridley again.

Max Redfield and Jerry Tillery not playing for Notre Dame in the upcoming Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State for violating team rules.

Doesn't augur well for the mindset of the Irish players for this game.

And Sheldon Day is reportedly struggling with a injured foot.

If Ohio St are at the races this could get nasty.

It's impossible to predict ohios form though. Hopefully ND beat them, I don't like how Meyer and Ohio acted and performed this year.

The phrase knife through butter springs to mind.

Huge turnaround. Bosa ejected from the game. He was dominating the game. Seemed harsh to me but commentators say it was a fair call

Notre Dame really need a TD on this drive.

    There it is. Nice drive.

Yeah it was a nice drive but very lucky on that 4th and 1 earlier. I've a feeling they are going to get spanked even after that drive.

    Yup, Buckeyes got Elliott.

Finally the coaches decide to give elliot a few more touches

Notre Dame D line are a beaten docket, this is going to be embarrassing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

Well done Kizer. 1st and goal, a TD here would leave a glimmer of hope.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

Turnover! That's the break the Irish needed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,899 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Ugh, another int. They get back in the game and then the Buckeyes turn it on it seems. Got it down to seven points and there is Elliott again and then the interception.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

That's it, Irish scrapped well but were overwhelmed on Defense.

  • Registered Users Posts: 148 ✭✭Pegasusbridge

Good win by the buckeyes. It'll be interesting to see how they do next year as they are probably going to lose a lot of players to the NFL. I'm looking forward to seeing how zeke gets on playing on Sundays

McCaffrey is just ridiculous. I wonder how he is going to do at the next level, he is just so electric.
