Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    How quick is Targett moving?

Need 0.1 more to get my ideal wildcard team and will get that if he rises this week. 13,000 transfers in this round.

FFix has @0.09%ph he might squeak another rise.

Having a great week for TV. The icing on the cake would be Targett to rise before the weekend, which looks a reasonable bet (currently 91%).

Antonio for West ham is gone down. His one and only owner must have got fed up of him.
    Who is it again?😄

Very true. FPL Royalty to FPL cupbearer in a very short time. Hopefully he'll come good as the season progresses. A Siggy on form is a wonderful thing.

I presume the Gomis drop is due to people ditching him for Martial?

Would imagine its been a popular one. Martial>Gomis is a better move than Gomis>Martial imo!

    1. Martial.
    2. 2 2 pointers in a row.
    3. No BPs.
    4. Swansea fixtures (not bad but not that great either, respectively to others).

    :P :D.

Ah crap. On the beer in Killarney and had nearly given in to the idea of getting Martial after the LC games, but just after realising its feckin 4am an i missed the price rises by 2 hrs.

Bollix to that. Gomis all the way!

My thoughts exactly. Didn't see him rising last night!

Had too many doubts (Silva, Benteke, Gomez and even Darmian to be pulling the trigger early anyway)

Same here. Diouf, Silva, Darmian and Gomez. I'll probably get Martial in but I have to wait and see who's going to be fit or not. Tbh, I don't mind missing the price rises much as long as I make the right transfers.

its a pity he cant rise .5 in a gameweek, cause he'd probably do it and all

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,915 ✭✭✭✭menoscemo

Well, both fplststs and FFS got that 3rd rise miles wrong. Neither had him anywhere near rising last night. I would have gotten him in yesterday if I thought there was even a chance of him rising. Now it's gonna be more difficult

Martial was precisely at 72.5% with a 4.38%/hour rising rate at 1:30 am French time last night. I know it because I left Mozilla opened on my laptop before putting it in sleeping mode and I had downloaded a sports podcast at 1:32 :p.

Price changes occur between 3 & 3:30 am French time so assuming Martial rising rate stayed about teh same until price changing time, they were about 20% off. They actually state they got it 77.7% right ;).

It's a strange one. Does it mean they got the third rise threshold wrong? Or accounted for too many WC?

    Fffix explanation just tweeted......

Another rule change from FPL this season. Threshold for third rise has come down. Good news for those wanting high team value

    Bench fodder 4.5m midfielders

With the popularity of the 5 man mid there appears to be only 2 starting players(Westwood and Drinkwater) who are in no danger of a price drop.
I had a quick scan through the fplstatistics site and of the approx. 37 now 4.4m priced midfielders 32 are trending down to 4.3m some quite quickly.

Westwood is trending down now as well. Another of the reasons I'm probably going to strong front 8 this GW, bench fodder 5th mid can wait until a good one emerges/heavy hitters find form

Wessi has to be pretty much the best of the "cheap" midfielders.

5.1, playing in an advanced position and getting a hefty amount of gametime

Ruddy is close to a drop, for whoever still has him. Benteke as well.

Absolutely off my face locked last night and I still managed to get onto fplstatistics, see Benteke was dropping and take him out before the drop. I think I have a problem.

Doesn't matter for me if Martial is a total flop this weekend. Martial to Benteke with my transfer has now saved me 0.4 team value for my wildcard.

What are the odds of another Shaw drop tonight?
He's currently at -64.2 but I haven't been keeping the closest eye on it (already lost 0.1 on him, sigh)

Would rather not waste a -4 if at all possible.

surprised De Bruyne didn't go up, was at 99.1 at one stage last night

£0.3m price rise limit is under test tonight. If Martial rises then that limit is incorrect. Martial has sufficient transfers for £0.4m

I doubt it. All recent changes to price rises made making a profit more difficult.

What would be the point of raising the threshold first, and then allowing more than 0.3 in one week?

They want players not to raise too often, not the other way around.

They lowered the threshold for the third rise so things have changed behind the scenes. It does seem unlikely they changed the .3 max but you never know! A couple of months ago I would have thought a .4 rise in a week was more likely than being able to play 2-5-3 or have your whole squad score points for you!

I'm sorry but Gomis being shipped out at a faster rate than Silva and Benteke (both injured) and Costa (banned) is just mental. He may even drop again tomorrow night.

Don't forget that Silva, Benteke & Costa are all red flagged which means their threshold is a biy higher than Gomis' one.
