What's the likelihood of Lukaku going up again, or Rooney going down before the weekend?

At the moment, it looks like a poor likelihood of either.

Very likely rooney will go down once imo. Twice now looks unlikely.

Lukaku rising again is anybodys guess but certainly possible. If he's much over 50% come friday he has a chance. Currently at 11.5.

All this is qualified with a big drop in price predictions accuracy as so many wildcards launched this week.

Rooney now at -73.5 on fpls. With the Friday rush to come it would be highly likely that he'll drop once I'd have thought.

If he plays badly tonight he could possibly see a mini rush and drop earlier.

This is what makes me think they should just squeak by. We all thought Aguerro would drop Sunday and he didn't etc. the WC are really skewing the stats this week.

Having said that you make a very good point about Rooney and people judging him on that.

To be honest, my WC is almost already justified after price drops for Walcott, Courtois and Wilson already, a likely drop for Rooney, and bringing in Aguero before the rise. This isn't to mention money I still might make before the weekend.

That 0.5 at least could be very important.

The other players I can understand but would you still persevere with Walcott ?

    He's definitely gone.

Thanks for updates. Would be lovely if Lukaku went up and Rooney down. That 0.2m can come in quite handy.

Ah sorry, thought you were going to buy him on the cheap at the end of the WC and try and peddle him.

Time to peddle Gomez ? Looks like he'll go 4.7 tonight/tomorrow night.

What is your normal strategy on cutting loose players you just bought for a price rise ?

I think he's a safe starter for Arsenal but depending on his game he might lose his spot.

Only had him since 4.6 but fairly sure he,ll go to ć

Depends entirely on whether you want to keep him in your team for the final draft.

I can swap Rooney to Aguero and have .2 in the bank, rather not have to take a hit to get him in so will be sweating for the rest of the week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 792 ✭✭✭JIdontknow

Got rid of rooney and walcott sunday night, in with Aguero and Mahrez (I know I know, bandwagon, but if I can make some money on him over the next few weeks it makes it worthwhile). I am not worried about courtois dropping 0.1 as he may indeed pick it back up again with a couple of cleen sheets etc and not as if he won't get game time. A player who will play every week in a top team dropping 0.1 over a suspension isnt a big deal to me.

Definitely. I swapped Rooney, Walcott and O'Shea out for Aguero, Mahrez and Ward (-4, but saved 0.3m minimum). No regrets.

Bit of a balls that Yaya couldn't sneak a double rise before Silva got his first. It was looking like a slight possibility on Sunday but the flow of transfers changed Monday.

Big difference of opinions on Rooney between FFFix -51% and FPLstats -79%. Looks certain to go down once anyway, don't know if tonights match is going to have a massive influence on casual transfers.

It's a pity in general that so many City players are rising. Means one can only hold 3 at a time and if keeping a rising City player in the final draft, it'll have to be 1 of the 3.

If you are wiling to risk it holding yaya till his second rise then buying silva at the dearer price is a viable option. It leaves you with the same team value but an extra 0.1 resale.

It seems certain yaya will make the second rise doesn't it? Thinking of doing this re kolarov.

I'm not so sure. A lot of people will have transferred in yaya on a wildcard to gain team value only to ship him out later in the week. It's hard to gauge his actual net transfers excluding wildcards and there is also no confirmation that the 0.2 and 0.3 rise formulae remain the same as last season. FPL tweaked things last season and who knows what they've done this season. For me, i wouldn't take the risk unless i was undecided between yaya and silva

That's a fair point, I was edging towards keeping him as it was a win win like FHFC mentioned. I need to start to get my final team together fast so. Yaya might be in it as there's a lot of money being invested elsewhere.

I think Silva will is exposed to price drops in the coming weeks. That's IF Yaya scores similar or more points than Silva, Silva owners will be looking at moving over to him imo.

Depay looking clinical with his goal earlier, and being a constant threat last weekend I'd imagine he's a strong candidate to go up .1 tonight, thoughts anyone?, I'm just after getting him in on my wild card.

Edit, he just scored a second goal

He's borderline for a fall tonight, but this game will reverse that. It's a shame because Depay at 8.4 would be very tempting.

Hopefully the.potential of a fall will mean that people won't start transferring him in. The transfers out may halt to a crawl. Will be keeping an eye on them over next 3 hours.

There are going to be a lot of fpl players that won't take this match into account. It because they discount form in a CL qualifier, just because they won't be clued in. I think he'll still fall by Sat.

    A completely needless transfer tbh.

    Disagree
But getting him in for .1M less would be nice.
Don't think he will be rotated even if they get pedro

FFS, would have been very sweet getting him in at 8.4. Ah well, 8.5 it is so.

FFS doesn't stand for Fan Footy Scout there

Fplstatistics.co.uk. He's actually a strong candidate to go the other way.

I'm just messing around now with my wildcard, so he's back out, silva in, more likely to go up tonight it seems but still I don't have too much of a clue, this is my first year taking this any bit serious.fplstatistics having silva at 107.2, is this high enough for him to go up .1 or what's the usual can ye tell me for a player to go up?

100% is the requirement to rise, the 7% is excess and does not count towards the second rise.

Anything over 100 means they expect him to go up, whether he does or not is down to how accurate they are at predicting the game, they're currently a bit hit or miss but provide a very good general idea. I took Yaya out for Slva this evening as I expect Silva to go up either sometime soon (tonight or tomorrow) and Yaya isn't likely to rise before that happens unfortunately.

Balls, I sold Memphis in my WC but I was hoping to get him back on saturday at 8.4. Please everyone don't transfer him in!!

So it's a case of waiting or hoping for a .2 rise to sell any player at .1 profit? I accidently earlier got rid of kompany, got him at 6.1, went up.1 in the meantime to 6.2 but selling him I only got the 6.1 back..bummer
I got yaya at 8.5, hoping to get to 8.7 and swap him with Sanchez or hazard if I have the funds.
My team value is 100.1 and have .5 in the bank so I think I'm doing this somewhat right. (That's a bunch of players gone up .1 so waiting and hoping on them rising another .1 to sell as you do)

    That's the right idea alright.
When transferring players out, make sure to click on the data view to see how much you bought a player and can sell them. You'll see the whole profit making thing in action there as it shows you the purchased price, current price and selling price of the players you own.

You would have only got 6.0 for company. You only again .1 for every .2 a player gains.
