Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Help setting up home entertainment system

Hey there. This is probably a daft question...and home entertainment system is probably pushing it LOL.

I've recently bought a house and the living room is a bit of an awkward shape. To make it work I need to mount the TV on the wall but I want to hide the cables in the wall and use something like a Wall Plate to access the ports and plug the sky box, dvd player, sound bar, AppleTV into the TV. Some hotels use these plates so that guests can easily plug things in without swinging out of the TV :)

I'd like to avoid having cables dangling down the wall basically.

Any recommendations on which type of trade person would be the best person to hire to do the job? Electrician? The TV etc that I have are all over a year old, I'm buying nothing new so wouldn't feel right asking the folks in SoundStore etc for advice.

Thanks a mill, very confused :D

An electrician would be best for this. But one that is tidy at cabling. Where are you based?

I'm in Killeens Kenny Bania, I figured an Electrician but was wondering if there were folks who specialised in this :) Bars, new homes etc would do this kinda thing?

AV installers, but it's probably too small a job. Worth a search though.
