I adore the opening of the dark knight with the bank robbery and the joker reveal. Probably my favourite opening ever to a movie

Off topic, but on opening scenes, The Way of the Gun is hard beaten and Once Upon a Time in the West.

Gotta agree with whomever posted the Ari Gold vid, Goodfellas overrated, I feel for the person said that.

Some films I strongly feel are massively overrated:

Pulp Fiction / Resevoir Dogs - no character development. Nonsensical scenes. Emotionally lacking.

The Usual Suspects - a tale of convenience.

Independence Day - don't get me started.

    The Avengers - Lacks charm

Wasn't that the whole point to the film.

lolwat? Who rates that film highly? It's opening 30 minutes have some amazing set pieces, that's about all it has going for it.

Stunning. Still electric after umpteen repeat viewings, but I simply will never forget the first time round in the Cinema. Unreal.

It reels you in, and is simply magic.

They tried to repeat something similar in TDKR with Bane but just didn't carry that levity of the Joker's introduction.
