Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know If the scholar programme still goes on, where students with a 1.1 in first second or third year get the award of recognition? I can only find information back to 2012-2013 on the website. Thanks

I think its still the same standards. For any year other than final year, if you get 75% and top 10% you get the award with €250. Think the requirements are a bit different for medicine. The 12/13 info is probably still correct.

AFAIK, you don't need 75%. I got it with 72% (although this was a few years ago) and a couple of my friends got it last year with less than 75% (you still need a 1:1 though)

I also got an average of 73 this year, I'm in undenominated science. Heading into fourth year this year. I don't think it will be enough in my case, but you could always email your college office to ask them if you qualify for the award. Best of luck! :)

The 75% requirement and top 7% are for engineering only. It's 70% for science.

You also have to be in the top 7% of your class for science.
