Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Cure for bouncy Keeway F Act

I have a little Keeway F Act which I use for motor pacing cyclists on a banked track. The bends are banked and tight and a little rough. The bike bounces quite a bit and it is disconcerting - speeds up to 50 kph. on tight, banked bends with lots of bounce!

I have the shock at its tightest setting but I don't know anything about suspension beyond that - is there any way of taking out some of the bounce without it losing traction obviously.

If I need a shock upgrade and cheap or second-hand options?

    Thanks

tyre pressures ok? could be hosed suspension alright, though mightnt have been the best originally... how old is the bike?

Maybe you need to loosen off the suspension.
Too hard on bumps bike will bounce you out of the saddle.

If the suspension is too loose the bike will feel a bit wavey (sideways) when you lean it over going round a bend.

I have about 30 lbs in the tyres. I don't know anything on the bike's bacground - it had been on it's side and the fairing is smashed etc, but I don't use it on the road. The shock looks dry but that's about it.

It's a 'soft' bounce - you don't feel like it's going take off. Feels more like it's going to bottom out in fact.

It feels stable enough on the corners apart from the vertical bounce - not like a car with a bad shock when the back fells like it's sliding a bit.
