Weren't the anti-eviction groups rallying around an old couple who had about a dozen properties across Dublin and were being evicted from their Killiney mansion to pay the bills?

    Source please.

tell me again how the Anti austerity alliance bailed out banks, tell me again how they introduced water charges, tell me again how they implemented cuts after cuts after cuts, i could go on and on and on and on.

Tell us how they got us out of the biggest recession the world had seen for over 80 years l, to have the fastest growing economy in the EU.

I'm all for getting more political involvement from the left in - all for it. Unfortunately all we have on that side right now though are utter clowns. The fact they are still trying to claim we should have done what Greece did which was bury their heads in the sand and watch the country implode on itself says it all. Ooohhh, to be like Greece with their 26% unemployment, what a dream that would be.

Was the recession that bad in Canada?
Tell me, why is it you had to move to there?

The one good thing about the recession, for me anyway, is that labour is cheap now.
Saves me a small fortune each week.

I wish the people calling for us to be more like Greece just moved over there.

I'd say they'd be coming back with their tail between their legs within 3 weeks

Who's calling for us to be like Greece?

Sure even Greece has water taxes.........

In saying that, I wish people who bow, without question, to German instruction would just move there.

Exploiting your staff to line your own pockets.

    Wonderful ethics.

And you have the cheek to give out about banks?

Any sign of the court cases and charges yet?
3 weeks now since the mole ran to the press.

Garda apparently working on how to charge people and if to charge them under advice of the DPP, it's a disaster.

Have they arrested anyone regarding the leak?
Subversion of the office of the DPP is a serious charge.
I wonder how many of our glorious boys in blue are investigating that crime?

Will there be dawn raids by 10 coppers to arrest the suspect?

I read that they are looking into this and either court appearances or invitation to the Garda station. Have not heard a peep on the old DPP investigation no shock there.

Garda management has been deliberating for the last three weeks as to how to execute the charges: Whether by arrest at the homes of the protesters; by inviting them to their local Garda station; or by way of a summons to appear in court on a future date.

Will a decent lawyer tear the old case to shreds with the media leak of charges before anyone was ?

I make a profit and I pay my staff well.
    No problems.

To be accused of exploitation by someone who knows nothing about me is something the pro side are quite good at.
It must sicken them that I'm not on the dole and, indeed, I have taken people off the dole recently.
Imagine that, an employer like myself being against water charges.

Seanie fitz will never see the inside of a court room again!

Wonder will our wonderful judiciary apply the same rules to the protestors and the amount of publicity it has caused. That's if RTEs Paul Reynolds ever decides to charge them!

What happened to you not responding to me? Christ the post you quoted wasn't even addressing you! :pac:

The economy is doing ok here, and if you really must know why I left... I simply wanted to go and experience somewhere else while the chance was there. I turned down a contract extension where I was working to do so.

This will be like the Guards looking into the dodgy dealings of fine Gaels Denis o Brien in The Moriarty Tribunal, drag it out for decades until people forget it ever happened!

80,000 plus at the march today according to some reports.
RTE played it down to 'tens of thousands'.

Hopefully the coppers will let them disperse without starting trouble.

what are you talking about, this country is in a dreadful state with the exception of the select few and the golden circle who have their snouts ion the trough and follow the gravy train, do you seriously believe this country has actually come out of recession, there are still hundreds of thousands out of work, a lot lot more than the carefully massaged figures the government spin masters peddle to the media.

For the record i am not a socialist and do not pretend to be or necessarily think many of their policies would work, however much of what the left parties say makes perfect sense, i actually believe you cant get any worse than FG/Lab/FF they are all pretty much the same, they have set this country back years.

I've just come back from a huge turnout at the anti water charges protest, of course the biased media will as usual claim there was only 10/15 thousand there when in fact there was 7/8 times that amount, the message is clear, people have had enough of this government and demand an end to austerity and water charges, the tide is turning and this government and IW are in decline, whether or not people want to believe it or not they will get a severe beating come election time.
