    Is there anything such thing as a compost based fine bark? Is it one or other - bark or compost?

    Compost is decayed organic material - could be made from bark but it would have transformed into compost...

    It's one or the other, although there is a product out there called "fine bark mulch" and it looks similar to compost/peat moss, but they are not the same thing.
