I wonder if that's where they were heading last week when someone accidentally left out a zero

Could be the case, however still not available to order at this higher price. Managed to nab one myself thanks to another boards member. Thanks again Alfie for spotting this.

How do you know they paid €30 for it?

We all know he paid €30 for it, maybe even €27.

It was recently bought and never used. If he'd paid full price, do you not think he'd have returned it for a refund instead of taking a €200 loss?

I don't think they are a hex set, which would only make them worth 30 quid.

I would agree that hex is a lot better but these are worth more than €30. However €300 is hilarious. The Silverline ones aren't as good but they are perfectly adequate.

Well that depends on what you think is adequate. . I have broken a few big sockets and bent a bar or two. I cant see a silver line set fair to well.

Most people using these larger sockets will have moved to an air/impact gun. Very few people taking off lorry or tractor wheels by hand now.

Should be fun to see how long he leaves the ad up :D

Someone here expressed interested in buying a socket set. They might want to make a real offer on that advert post?

PS: I would be happy to swap my 21" 3/4 set for a more useful size set - all I do is DIY on my own bikes and motorbikes, so I really don't need these yflowerpot sized sockets. Halfords 200 piece socket set might be more useful for me personally, and road bike stuff etc. PM if any interest.

Joys of a free market though folks, what harm is it if he wants to try turn a few bob on it?

I don't see a problem or a good reason why he should be harassed...

Charging €60 would be turning a few bob on it, he's just gouging people for money at €150. Its pretty obvious that he only bought it to sell on, and yes, its a free market, but I'm also free to point out that he paid substantially less than he's trying to charge
