Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Darmian YC, that'll hit his bps too :)

Despite the miss, Memphis is the best way into Utd's attack I think.

If you played him over Darmian this week you can't blame anyone except you.

Man, a Depay goal and Rooney blank would've been so sweet! If 0.5m can be free'd up, Romero looking good.

Rooney receiving passes from well inside his half. Not worth 7m based on this performance.

I think Mata has been their best player. They all move the ball so slowly, he's the only one that looks like creating anything.

I'd feel more secure having Victor Anichebe captain week rather than Rooney at this stage,

I'll still struggle to sell him before the Newcastle game.

Good boy Rooney, knock the ball out for a throw when you're 1v1 :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,747 ✭✭✭Ziegler1988

No chance I captain Rooney next GW on the back of that display. Going to be a tough one now, either Haz at WBA or Kane at Leicester

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,193 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

Bad time to be a Rooney captainer. Luckily I went with Kane.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,358 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    Shaw CS and Rooney blank.

    Meh.

I might keep Rooney until Newcastle, but it's getting tough to justify it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 349 ✭✭Rojiblancos

Rooney & somebody to Aguero and anybody. He's been awful the last 2 matches. Shouldn't even be in utd's team the way he's playing never mind my own.

*meant to put this in the gw3 transfer thread*

Fcuk off Rooney, don't let the door hit you on the way out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,358 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Just realised I have one player only tomorrow, Sebastian Coates.

A boring day in store so.

Amavi could sneak a bap despite not getting a clean sheet.
He got 3 baps last week so looks like a bonus magnet.

Really hard go sell him with Newcastle at home. Wonder will he drop in price though?

the good - Darmian clean sheet
the bad- darmian yellow and loss of bonus
    the ugly - Rooney

Darmian, Shaw, and Smalling all within 1 BPS for the baps. Mata looks like taking the three

Banked the transfer and captained Benteke. Rooney out along with Walcott. Aguero and a mid priced marvel in.

This Rooney no show reminds me of the main debate of this week about Rooney away poor performances at Villa Park for quite some years now... So does he have a mental blocking there or not :p?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,672 ✭✭✭ScummyMan

    Adios Rooney, hello Agueeerrrooooooooo

he also has a great record against Newcastle
sellers beware... I should know .......I could not take another minute of him in my team before the Newcastle home game after Xmas last year.....

Rooney is a disaster. He looks a complete lame duck. Dropping him for sure. Mata is the united lynchpin.

Poor start 2 from 1 player. Ah well, at least I had sense not to captain him. He loves scoring against Newcastle but I can't even be arsed leaving him in

    Captain stats:

    Rooney: 24.5%
    Benteke: 16.8%
    Hazard: 11.7%
    Kane: 8.2%
    Aguero: 4.7%

He had no touches in tbe opposition box until the final minute. United have 3 shots on goal in 2 games.

So captain next week then :p to verify the ground/team preference theory ;). (I'm actually owning him).

One touch, 1v1 with Guzan and he kicks it out for a throw in!

    Thats my fear.

I do think that New at home is a good game for him, last chance really.

he was in my team for 3 weeks with him captain 3rd week and then leaving for aguero even if he scores a hat trick in 3rd game
it's all going to plan so far :D

I hope to keep Rooney for one more gameweek. If a price droop looms that might force my hand though.

Walcott and Rooney out, most likely Aguero and Payet in

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,307 ✭✭✭DarraghF197

I know it's been said a million times already, but I'll say it once again because it needs to be emphasised! Rooney was terrible!

Promising players: United's back four and GK; Mata; Ayew (although I only see him making good runs which doesn't do much in terms of points)

In other news, anyone see that goal by San Jose in the Supercopa from the half way line?!

    After ESP
    Mata 3
    Darmian 2
    Shaw, Smalling 1

Darmian is proving to be quite the bap whore

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,256 ✭✭✭✭km79

    esp added
    mata 3
    darmian 2
    Shaw smalling 1

    darmian legend!
