Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not nice to see Messi asking for the player to be booked, thats the ref's job Li.

Didn't see the ref exercising to Messi on how he should have headered that ball into the net and not at the keeper.

So strange you don't see these same posters adminishing Ronaldo for this when he does it on a weekly basis, is there an agenda perhaps?

No agenda here. It's not something that I like seeing from any player.

Boards.ie is also in on the conspiracy to try and stop Barcelona winning anything.

Could be argued this is part of Ronaldos character and has been for years where it is out of character for messi and airs of desperation! Not trying to start something but if it's unusual it will be picked up on.

I'd say more that it contains a group of posters whose content consistently displays their hatred of Barcelona but who, when confronted with this accusation, claim neutrality.

Nice goal but this is not a good day

    That was wondefully worked.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,672 ✭✭✭elefant

Someone in Sky would have jizzed themselves if Barca scored that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Barca didn't take there chances and since they went a goal down they have been forcing it big time. Very unorganised and Valencia took full advantage with a lovely goal there.

Huge 45 mins coming up for Barcelona. They really have to win this game. Have created the chances but lacked the killer instinct.

Hard to believe that this is the same team that Valencia lost 7-0 to about two months ago:eek:

Who will AIG's new team be now? Man City with Pep?

In the build up to the match the Valencia coach said this isn't the same Valencia and they're [Barca] not the same either.:)

To be fair to Barca, they don't deserve to be two down. Still though this is just perfect.

    No. Just balance.

We're told ad nauseum by media types how wonderful Messi is, how he plays the game the 'right way', how he never dives or ever cheats. (See Gary Lineker for instsnce).

It's always worth noting that Messi will try to gain advantages and be unsporting just like anybody else.

We already know Ronaldo acts the díck, so there's kinda no need to remind everyone on a weekly basis.

Funny there's a game on at the moment with massive title implications but you're too preoccupied with having a dig at me to care. Brilliant contribution.

So Ronaldo gets a pass is what you're saying. Great. Funny you see more comments about Messi looking to get someone booked than you do for Ronaldo kicking or elbowing somebody.

Yeah two teams playing on the opposite scale confidence wise compared to that match.

I agree can't believe Barca haven't scored a few that half, they got behind the defence a few times.

Just had a look at Barca's final 4 fixtures. Unfortunately despite this collapse there shouldn't be anything to challenge them there even if Atletico do get 100% from here on out.

Some needs to tell Barcelona that away goals dont count in the league when youre playing at home :pac:

And despite that your grand contribution on that pretty shocking half of football was Andersonisgod related? I just can't comprehend that.

Wouldn't blame Luis Enrique too much for the results. The lack of a squad has cost Barca in recent weeks. He wanted Nolito but didn't get him or another good forward to rotate. Arda Turan was a poor signing though.

How dare you, Liverpool have been trying to sign him since 2011 if you can believe the transfer rumour mill! :pac:

You can't really blame him at all. Even if he wanted to drop one of the front three to give them a rest, there'd be murder. He nearly lost his job after dropping Messi.

Out of curiosity why do you consider it a pretty shocking half of football? Barca started very well, had some great chances. Game turned on its head with the Valenica goal and they now look very capable. Good match so far.

Could slip up against Deportivo away in next game. Either way, difficult to see a five-game win streak if they lose tonight, despite the opposition.

From going almost 40 games unbeaten in all competitions they cant win a match now.
If they lose today it will be 3 league defeats in a row ,the first time that's happened in 13 years .

This league has all the hallmarks of 2007 when Barcelona imploded on the run in and were pipped on the final day of the season by Real Madrid.

    But go ahead and deflect.

    Incredible slip from Barca

Except for the successful take-ons and array of passes he's played in behind Valencia's defence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Barca are actually playing fine here. They've had more than enough good chances to be miles ahead.

They've just no composure at the moment.

Neymar is taking too long to shoot, or Suarez is choosing the wrong option, or Rakitic is missing the target from 12 yards.

    It's very weird.

And Messi hasn't been brutal. He could've had 4 assists by now.

He has been brutal since coming back from international duty ,basically a passenger in the side.
I'm not sure if he is injured but he has looked completely disinterested like he did in 2014.

if Eamon Dunphy is to be believed it's because his name is in the Panama papers.
