Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Are you watching the match?? They dont look like fodder. Sporting may lose to Barca tonight but they are no push over.

    They're 18th. They shouldn't be an issue.

    But they are an issue.

Just because a team are in the regulation zone doesnt mean they are fodder. Look at newcaslte today, against liverpool.

Teams are fighting for their lives. They have to go for it now with only a few games left.

By the way, I still think barca will win 4-1, but Sporting are putting in some performance.

Right now there is only Messi.

Need to finish these chances. Could come back to haunt them

Right now there is only Messi.

Neymar is not good this evening so far. Some passes are terrible, and another sitter missed there.

Poor form the last month or so, seems to be lacking confidence in a major way.

    That should ease the nerves

Goal! There it is, there's Barcelona, vintage Barcelona, real Barcelona! Messi, Iniesta, Suarez, fantastic goal.

Agreed, and his behavior when playing against Atletico was very disappointing. Losing it at Alba on the pitch was disgraceful.

No, gotta conserve the funds for drinks in the not so distant future and lucky that I didn't go out tonight with this Messi masterclass and Suarez continuing his strong case for Balon D'or.

Why is the stadium so empty at Barca

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

Did I just hear that right?

Messi (4), Suarez (2) and Neymar (4) have missed 10 penalties this season.

Most teams would give an arm and a leg to even get 10 penalties in a season

Think they said there was 21,000 empty seats....................

Yet they are expanding the stadium.

Soft as ****. A joke. He should never ref again

That is shocking and then to send him off. Is this **** happening every week.

Neymar threw his arms up when the player put his arms on him.
    Ridiculous decision.

    I feel for Sporting tonight.

Espanyol would love to spoil the party allright.
The away matches are Betis and Granada.
Could Betis spring a surprise ?

One thing is for sure ,there will be lots of suitcases of cash being offered to teams to raise their game .

    money_suitcase3.jpg

Well, looks like the exact opposite of what you said is happening. Rubbish reffing, as dodgy as a premier league team going to the etihad last season.

Another vital goal by Bale. Weakened squad put out by Zidane almost cost them.

It will probably count for nothing but at least it's keeping it interesting.

    Come on betis!

Bale filling the Ronaldo gap expertly in the last 2 league game.

He's the real deal. No question anymore.

Key game in the title race and they give us Lahoz as the referee. Typical.

Is Westermann a Barca fan? That's got to be the dumbest second challenge, when you're on a yellow, that I've seen in a very long time.

Barca versus 10 men for 55 minutes now.

it was so stupid, he has been ****e all season, pezella as bad as he is, is much better, must be suspended or injured.

That yellow for Alves is exactly what's wrong with him. Poor quality referee who Barcelona fans regard very lowly.

Ok. Let me clarify. What did he do to Barcelona in the past that has you, and/or Barcelona fans, bitter?

He's a dreadful referee but more specifically the atrocity with Espanyol earlier in the season was unforgivable, not to mention he's the ref who screwed us out of a league when Messi scored a goal that was wrongly judged to be offside against Atletico on the final day of that season.

He was the linesman I assume?

Goal! Goal Barcelona! Messi mesmerises both Betis goalkeeper and defender causing them to crash into eachother with the most delicate and delicious lobbed pass, there is only Messi! Rakitic taps it into the empty net. The celebrations on the Barça bench tell you how much that goal means.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

That Barcelona goal is Betis pretty much summed up.

Rakatic makes the break through for barca. Need to go kill this game off now

It was a shíte goal. If you think that mistake had anything to do with Messi mesmerising anyone, you're deluded. He hung a ball up in the air, that wasn't reaching Rakitic as both the keeper and defender could both get to it, but they simply miscommunicated.

Get real for fúck sake. Huge goal, but there was nothing mesmeric about it.

Hate, tut and curse all you like, the weight of that pass was absolutely perfect, tempting both defender and keeper into a challenge with each other. The best playmaker in the world does it again.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Ceballos has been a disgrace tonight, he has a reputation for hating Barcelona and that's manifested itself on the pitch tonight. 2 nasty challenges on Pique (whose done well to keep his head) and a dive to get Alves booked.

I guess haters gonna hate, I don't care about haters though because it's 1-0 and Barça edge closer to another league trophy.

Bring the Ceballos stupid tackle count to 3, still no booking though.

    h2h

Who has the better h2h between atleti and barca then?

I like Barcelona. It's nothing to do with hate. Every time someone disagrees with you, or calls out nonsense, you go back to the same old shíte, that the one disagreeing with you hates Barcelona.

    It's tiresome.

You're just wrong. The goal was a defensive shambles. The ball was badly weighted from Messi if anything. He was aiming for Rakitic, not in between the keeper and defender. Christ.
