Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Do you think the Italian teams in Europe have more chance than the English teams this season or for the foreseeable future?

England will probably have more teams in the CL so it gives them better odds of doing better overall.

Italy's best might be better than England's best though this season..

The future? England should be better with the cash coming in the next few years.

City look the best so far in England this season, but have been brutal in Europe.

    Chelsea have a chance.

Utd were a year out so not sure what to expect.

    Arsenal are Arsenal in Europe.

Well Kloppo is hanging around without a club so it may not be far fetched.....if things keep going this badly for Chelsea.

And Joe Kinnear is still in London.

José isnt invulnerable in his position.

I think he's going on about the score, rather than the result itself, being "fake". I noticed he made no mention of Begovic denying Kun 3 or 4 times in that first half. Or Mangala missing a great chance to score. "The Happy One" with selective memory, methinks.

Italian sides take the Europa League more serious than the English teams, so whilst it might only be Juventus in the CL with any shot, the rest actually try and win the Europa League.

Luckily Chelsea are playing WBA next week, I can see Klopp at the Bridge in January if things don't pick up quickly. Be interesting to see if Jose demands some big signings.

Why does he need big signings?

The team he won the league with are all still there.

He is just using this excuse as deflection.

Jees lads the season is two games old...fellas getting sacked? Relax...

If Chelsea keep conceding more goals than they score they will continue to lose.

Jose running out of people to throw under the bus
First the hot doc and now the captain
    Everyones to blame

Cesc is a weakness against any team who can transition quickly.

Matic cannot do the job of both men, even if he makes a decent effort. If a team is smart enough to be able to overload the wings, you can isolate a full back quite easily. Ivan has been run ragged two games in a row now. Cesc just lets runners go and it's going to bite you in a league that is now very competitive.

Also, they are amazingly reliant on Hazard. It's frightening for a team that is supposed to be an elite team.

Chelsea are by no means broken, but tweaks are needed. Others are moving forward and they look like they've stood still.

Their defenders have peaked and are now on a downward spiral.

Just seen on MOTD2 that the City DJ was playing the Orbital remix of the Dr Who theme song to the players in the tunnel before the game. Genius :)

Chelsea need another dynamic winger. Cuadrado who I rate has not settled at all. They must be annoyed they didn't get Douglas Costa last January.

I have controversially suggested [according to some Chelsea fans] in the past that Chelsea are going to need a major overhaul particularly in defence.

At some point they have to be replaced.

Man City fans suddenly becoming offended by the 'Sterling has a load of kids' rumour/joke. :pac:

Just because he signs for your club doesn't mean you have to take on his battles.

I think Mourinho is an exception. His behaviour this season has been completely irrational, even by his standards. If Chelsea are behind City by 9/10 points at Christmas it wouldn't surprise me to see him sacked, especially if he continues his bizarre behaviour.

It's a horrendous "joke" regardless of who he plays for and regardless of who he is. It's borderline disgraceful no matter what context.
