Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Perfect strike, can't blame cech on it

Kos is to blame for that goal.

Nah. It was coming in at some speed and he would have seen it late. Low laser like strike.

Of course people will blame Cech because it's becoming fashionable to do so. Not at fault imo.

Like Sky et al slating Giroud. Even when the stats defied it they still ran with it

Not sure on that. Saying player should have done better when they did a mistake (against West Ham) is not blaming just because it's fashionable.

re goal, I think Cech didn't even stretch fully. Slow reflexes?

He's started the season poorly. Gabriel should be considered perhaps

Joe Ward won a Gold medal for Ireland Joel Ward scores for Crystal Palace today...

Kos has turned his back on two goals this week. The Chelsea lads would be throwing themselves at it.

    unlucky Ramsey

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

We're way to wasteful with out chances

Giroud needs to cop on breaking up too many attacks with a poor flick, back heel or lay off

Cech was rightly at fault last week. He'll be the one in the firing line because the ball goes by him last.

Again, I believe he saw it late. Man in front of him is going to impede his vision and in real time, he'll see the ball coming at him and by the time he sees it, it's too late to fully readjust his position.

Ozil has put 3 or 4 chances on a plate already

    Jesus, some dive by Ramsey

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

What's the craic with Cech's headgear at this stage? Is it a sponsorship/image rights thing or just psychological?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

That looked like Zaha was pushing hi m into a swimming pool or something there.

Whatever might be the result, the tempo of Arsenal play is very good.

He was a triplet, so apparently his skull bones are unnaturally thin. Basic protection I suppose

Surely walcott or ox should be on instead of Ramsey

I agree, but Palace are upping the tempo also. Really good match to watch.

Agreed. They have 2 tricky wingers which makes their game very interesting and then they have Puncheon and Cabaye. Very decent team.

No way Coq has broke up a lot

Coquelin could easily be off. Has to be subbed at the half.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 35,514 ✭✭✭✭efb

I'd be pulling coq off at half time

    Should be off there

Not every foul has to be a yellow card.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

    Ref bottled that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

    Lucky to stay on.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,661 ✭✭✭Fuhrer

That was a dive from Coqielin aswell, should be off and MacArthur shouldnt have been booked

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

He should be off. The fact he is already on a yellow shouldn't cloud the referee's decision and no doubt he would have booked him were it not for his original booking.

No but that was a blatant yellow card offence which the ref got wrong.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Entertaining game, Arsenal really should have made more of their early domination though

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,363 ✭✭✭JohnDaniels

I don't know how Coquelin doesn't get a second yellow. No attempt to play the ball, Palace breaking and completely cynical foul. If he doesn't already have one the ref doesn't think twice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Would have been a very soft yellow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Ref was probably just afraid to give a second yellow so soon after the first, happens a lot.
One more foul and he's off the pitch I'm sure.
