Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just turned on the match there, any reason why Firmino didn't start?

It was pretty easy to see at Stoke that he was up for it when he came on, and Lallana was clearly not when he started.

You're in for a treat so, you won't believe how good Lovern is...!!

That injury to Henderson really highlights the fact that we need another CM in this window.

Milner Can Henderson and Joe just isn't enough.

Lucas back on the bench for the Arsenal game if Henderson doesn't make it.

    That was great from Benteke

    Remember Ibe is only 19

When Sterling was 19 he had 17 kids and a nitrous oxide addiction.

Great play by Benteke, Coutinho wastes it again.

Great block, should have been a free for Benteke.

    Funny

    Ibe off for Firmino.

Dunno why Ibe getting such a rap on here, done more than Lallana to create moments in the area

ibe has a lot to learn...a lot. Lallana looks lightweight, like he is running through glue.

A much as i like henderson we still havent found a leader on the pitch.

    I'm loving Benteke.

Tomlin is chunky for a Premier League footballer.

Worrying how much Bournemouth are controlling midfield

Tomlin looks like he's just asked someone to hold his pint while he has a kick around

Why does everyone on our team keep drifting left...it was Coutinho Ibe and Lallana earlier, and just a moment ago it was Firmino, Coutinho, Benteke and Lallana all with out there within spitting distance of each other.

Tomlin'd look more at home in a game of 5 a side with a pub team.

Moreno on for Coutinho is an odd one.

Few of them carrying a bit of timber.

I know they've just come up and they were in league 2 not to long ago, but I really don't think that's acceptable at this level.

Not really, defensive move when we're winning and gives a recovering player some game time.

Not in a two man midfield with Henderson gone.

yeah exactly, to be honest Moreno already is getting involved more than our left wingers have by and large.

Our positions have been so weird today...Lallana and Coutinho seem to have just had free roles, but one would imagine there would be a bit of communication, like, one drops deep, the other goes forward...or one pulls centre, the other pulls wide. Instead, its almost been more like Lallana was following coutinho around.

    Benteke motm imo.

This performance has left me a bit cold.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Play like this against Arsenal and we'll get smashed. Can't understand the thought process of sending out a team that's set-up to play counter attacking football at home to Bournemouth.

    We really are crap.

Rather have the six points than not, but it's two poor performances to get us started and we've looked disjointed through most of the 180 minutes thus far. That's as easy as it will get for a while too...

I know it's been said too many times, but christ almighty we need a proper DM in there. If a side like Bournemouth can boss our midfield around then that really says it all about our midfield.
