The other day I was waiting one hour for Bus eireann 605 bus to the hospital.I was heading for Farran Park which is a 20 minute walk from town. The Bus system needs to be fixed.

I grew up in Hillview so I'm very familiar with the late problems with the 605. Most of the other local buses run every 20 minutes or so but the 605 is only every 40 minutes. I've never understood why though, since the hospital, more than one large estate, post office depot and a retail park are all on or near the route. Not saying its more important than other bus services but it should also be every 20 minutes. But I know it'll never happen. It was bad pre-recession so it's not going to be fixed now.

Lyle Lanley: Well, sir, there's nothing on earth like a genuine, bona fide, electrified, six-car Monorail! What'd I say?
    Flanders: Monorail!
    Lanley: What's it called?
    Patty & Selma: Monorail!
    Lanley: That's right! Monorail!
    [crowd chants 'Monorail']

Miss Hoover: I hear those things are awfully loud...
Lanley: It glides as softly as a cloud
Apu: Is there a chance the track could bend?
Lanley: Not on your life, my Hindu friend.

Barney: What about us brain-dead slobs?
Lanley: You'll be given cushy jobs
Abe: Were you sent here by the devil?
Lanley: No, good sir, I'm on the level.

Let Kilkenny be our North Haverbrook :D

A decent centrally located Bus Depot.
A bus service that coincides with school start & exit times.
That shouldn't be too much to ask for in this town!

For the council to actually LISTEN to people.

The we be represented more than at present. I know thats not a problem with the people as such but Waterford is definitely last on the list when it comes to job creation and only recently has it been used for festivals. I remember RTE did a programme a few years ago with that smug pr!ck John Creedon about The Cities of Ireland and Waterford didnt even get a mention, despite being the oldest city in Ireland and a mecca for adventure lovers what with our beautiful coastline and mountain regions, as well as a culinary delight for all food tastes etc. And yet that show completely ignored us in favour of Cork, Dublin and Galway. There wasnt much of a fuss kicked up about it either at the time...

Two gin and tonics in the Reg last night, €14.
    I'd change that.

Get rid of the Spraoi, a parade for stupid people. No university town would have that dumbed-down crap every year.
