Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It would be easier to turn to interviews and stuff while your there, but you could start the job hunt now, register with a few agencies and contact companies directly, phone them up. Once you have a couple of interviews lined up it would be easy enough to book a cheap flight from Dublin and fly over. Main thing is to be pro-active in your job hunt.

Helpful to have a UK bank account setup in advance for your wages to be paid into. Opening a UK bank account is not as simple as you might think particularly if you don't have a fixed address yet so I'd make a few enquires about this before you leave Ireland.

Might be worth googling a few temp agencies in Milton Keynes and email them, lot of warehouse work starts from temp agency then they take you on contract, why Milton Keynes specifically? Some bits of it are ok/nice, some is horrible and wouldn't live anywhere near it. Good for shopping, think it's ok for night out, totally soulless though.

Milton Keynes is best known for roundabouts and concrete cows. A very soulless "new town". Unless you have some connection with the place there are much better options for warehouse work in the UK. Bear in mind that this particular work sector in the UK is mainly staffed by cheap Eastern European migrant labour now...
