3 points is a shocking return in 30 minutes.

    All over now.

    Kilkenny half backs immense.

I'd said their half forwards have won this for them, totally dominating the Galway backs, Galway haven't been able to clear clean ball at any stage which is vital if you're playing with only 2 up front.

Galway have shat their pants in the second half

Ah they look like they would be handy with shovels.

Half forward line and midfield have really went missing in second half.

instead of being 4 point game, this would be one point if they took the points.

4 points with 4 minutes left, need the next 2 scores.

Kilkennys work rate is some of the best in world sport. Non stop hassling.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,014 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

That score summed up the second half to me there, Galway crowded out of it, harrassed and then a Kilkenny play is in space to tap over a point.

0-12 to 0-4 to KK this half, they've enough experience to see this out.

    Usual predictable hurling.

    Thank God for the football.

Game is over, will take Galway about three hours to score 5 more points.

Very bunched up and scrappy half. Suited Kilkenny down to the ground.

    Never doubt Kilkenny.

    Yet so many always do.

    7pt lead

    that's that

Thought the injury time would be longer

    Number 10 isn't a corner forward.

    Game of 2 halves, literally

Wonder if Cody leaving Kilkenny will be the only way hurling can get back to being more competitive.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,590 ✭✭✭CurryFlavoured

Kilkenny were super clinical this half while Galway have probably left 1-4 or more behind them.

Where was the follow up from the Galway forwards? FFS game up and they didn't chase it up

Well done baby Joe, it'll take a minute to find the ball now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,248 ✭✭✭✭BoJack Horseman

It's all the same, last 10 years there have been 7 different counties in the final for both football and Hurling.

Nearly every year KK win, equally nearly every year Mayo lose.
Dublin, Kerry, Donegal get to final.

    Rinse and Repeat

Jaysus you'd think Kilkenny are bored of winning by it now, let someone else win it FFS

Nothing wrong with the game today, not as good as other games but over 40 scores, no sending off, lots of good scores and plenty to shout about, grand final

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 12,333 ✭✭✭✭JONJO THE MISER

Have to turn off the t.v now before i vomit listening to Kilkenny.

It's not up to Kilkenny to be worse but for the others to become better

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,014 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

    Well done Kilkenny.

Pet peeve of mine there, the 2 minutes is the minimum amount of time to play and any time lost in injury time should be added on, surely there should have been another minute played there.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 5,402 ✭✭✭Tinie

Poor oul Joe may never ever that medal :(

Thank God we won, it is horrible to lose an All Ireland final.

    Great second half from Kilkenny.

Lads was I seeing things... Did joe get a goal there? Thought he didn't come out for sec half.. Was sure he decided to head off with Rachel....

Hurling a wee bit predictable for me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,068 ✭✭✭✭Kermit.de.frog

Didn't even bother watching this as I knew Kilkenny would win. Well done to them but it is killing the sport that no one is able to challenge them. That's a pity.

Galway were naive, they missed 3/4 scoreable points, and then the goal chance in the last 10 years - that's 7 points - even get just the point chances and the game is a lot closer.
