How long for electronic transfer

    Hi BoI,

    I'm waiting on a sum of money to reach my AIB account from a BoI account. BoI account holder has stated the money was transferred last Thursday night but so sign of it yet. How long do these transfers take?

    Hi Tristram,

    Thanks for getting in touch with us here on Boards.ie

    This will depend on the type of payment, for Euro SEPA payments the transfer will usually reach the payee bank within one working day.

    In this case if the payment was made Thursday night it would be processed on Friday. The payment would then reach the payee bank by Monday.
