In fairness to fg lab they have turned the economy around hugely .big ff house here and I ain't going to disagree with anyone that says they made a balls of things ,cause they did .for economic stability I wouldn't have much of an issue with them again.sf are just after the poplus vote but they'd be like rabbits in headlights if in power ,country would be set back a long way but hey we'd pay frog all taxes!!!!,sorry off topic

Please don't bring politics into it - I just want my payment with or without the politicians. The Department must think farmers are living on air.

Message on agfood that I have an over claim , but looking at it they put in a forestry plot as grazing

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,984 ✭✭✭Miname

Waiting on both here, got badly burned on a contract in the day job and it's the first and hopefully last time that I'm hanging by my teeth waiting on it. It's also the first time it's been late for me, typical. Ringing them and I finally got through to someone after about 20 calls, they said everything was cleared for payment on both the anc and sfp, so hopefully it's tomorrow.

FG/FF coalition with a FF ag minister is the best alternative.

Coveney is pricking around with small farmers. He just can't control his blue shirt tendencies ridiculous in this day age.

O Cuiv is really shouting about small farmers the past couple of years and I'd say thats a position he is looking for ( apart from position of leader of FF of course )
Its something I can see happening but its easy shout when your in opposition so I wouldn't hold too much hope of big changes either , but I'd be happy enough to see Coveney out of that job

Our super shiny minister for the fence as well.. Lovely heart warming stories last night on thee late late from the irish navy and this plonker making sure he was there to receive his credit by association.

It's hard to know. He always has plenty to say in the farming part of the c tribune. He's got potential l would think. And would be more in tune with the small West of lreland farmer's concerns l would say.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,748 ✭✭✭ganmo

I'm not a fan of ocuiv I think he was picked as ff's Ag spokesman to be anti covney. He'd slip back into his minister of the gealtacht rather than look for Ag.

Michael moynahon from mallow Fianna Fáil or Andrew Doyle Wicklow good solid farming backgrounds?

Coveney has a skewed background. Going to put the country on its feet with increased production.. Is farmer working harder producing more for at best the same income. And fodder to feed a processing industry which favours employing foreign labour at minimum wage, with short term contracts and often part time.
While rural Ireland dies, food barons and multi national retailer shareholders prosper.

That's not a farmers minister. That's a first class gom in my view.

This is Fine Gael Policy; not some accident. It is the party of big business.
The farmer get left behind - the mere grease on the wheel - we're not even the cog in the wheel anymore.

its probably an error on your application or its being processed but you would think if everything was alright having paid 100k bps and 75k anc with 2 runs a week it would be paid by now. did you ring them?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20 mandee1980

if you are in error on bps you wont get anc afaik

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 861 ✭✭✭Sugarbowl

Rang maybe 10 days ago and told it was being processed. Also sent an email last week but no reply to that. Have got no correspondence yet anyway!

Your not alone! They have taken out 3ha out of one of our parcels that I had already taken a lot off. No way it's right, planner going to ring them tomorrow and try to sort it out.

I'm in trouble so.,. I took about 5 hectares off the maps myself for ineligibility. Could do with something coming in to the bank, it is virtually empty! :(

Similar here ,was told by the Dept that it was because of GLAS remapping but I planted some ground last year so this could be an issue as well . Not optimistic!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 399 ✭✭marathon

I rang today there a dual application on one the plots n they waitin on the other farmer to send in the details n I after dealing with it back in july. I getting seriously pissed off at this stage

Does anyone here know if ANC scheme payments are fully assessed as income for Farm Assist purposes??

I cannot establish if it is treated similar to SAC, AEOS and other scheme payments, where the first €2,540 is disregarded with 50% of the balance being assessed and the other 50% disregarded.

    Thanks for any advice.

they run payments twice every week so you would expect if its ok they would pay it are you clear on stocking density or retention period?

I just checked and nothing after coming in here. I rang last week though and she said my map was being digitised which was causing the delay. Hoping something will come through this week now.

    I'm waiting here, so's FIL.
Both farms are getting maps digitised, due to excluded areas
