Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini is suspended from domestic football after his red card at the end of last season but is eligible to play in European competition and the Belgium midfielder is expected to be involved at some point against Club Brugge. Phil Jones remains out with thrombosis and Jonny Evans is a doubt after missing training on Tuesday but Louis van Gaal will be grateful that he has so few problems to deal with compared to his counterpart, Michel Preud’homme – the away side could be missing eight or nine players due to injury.

    359008.png

    Referee Deniz Aytekin (Ger)

    Odds H 3-10 A 11-1 D 5-1

    Manchester United
Subs from Johnstone, De Gea, Lindegaard, Hernández, Wilson, Pereira, Lingard, Evans, McNair, Blackett, Herrera, Fellaini, Young, Rojo. Schweinsteiger
    Injured Jones (illness)

    Club Brugge
Subs from Bolat, Steelant, Hooyberghs, Castelletto, Cools, Dierckx, Claudemir, Oularé, Brodic
    Doubtful Duarte (knock)
Injured Refaelov (foot), Izquierdo (calf), Meunier (knee), Gedoz (groin), Engels (knee), Ibini (shin), Coopman (knee), Denswil (knee)

United to win 3 or 4-0.

Club Brugge have 9 players out and 7 of them would be considered potential starters so Man Utd really should fail to screw this up.

Can't believe I'm actually going to try and watch this on TV3 and its saorview SD Sh1tevision.

There's a TV3 HD now, on UPC anyway. Is it not available elsewhere?

HD on UPC and SKY (dunno if that is if pay extra?) but TV3 refuse to pay up for saorview HD.

Interchangeable? Rooney can hardly move from what I have seen this season.

  • A serious improvement required from Rooney, first touch & positioning has been very poor of late.
Would like to see more from Depay on the left.
As for Mata let him player #10 if not on the right wing.

Defensively looking really solid as is the midfield so no concerns there.

Think it's linked to the HD pack unlike RTE2HD,I'm watching on BT Rio,Scholes and Hoddle-can't abide TV3's coverage.

Hasn't been a great start for him, totally agree, but it's an interchangeable front 4 nonetheless.

Even Fergie era, Rooney still struggled at the start of the season. It takes time for him to retain his form. However hee should've sorted this all out by now. He doesn't inspire the rest of his team mates with his poor display the last two games.

Credit to TV3 for simply having a nice, dignified 'HD' sign in the top right-hand corner of the screen. The current trend is to plaster the screen with annoying, oversized, branding. It's great that they're letting the HD signal speak for itself.

    When did they go HD?

I think the channel launched over the past week or so, but I'm not sure if they've actually had much content on it yet. As far as I know they had it timed for the Champions League and Rugby World Cup, so I suspect tonight is an official 'launch' of sorts.

It's interchangeable as all four can move around and be as equally ineffective in every position. United's attacking has been absolutely atrocious this season. Might not get caught out here tonight but better opposition will destroy United from the back due to Rooney's incompetence as a striker.
