Interactive operating system mid 90s

    Does anyone remember using an interactive type OS during the 90s...would have been pre windows 95.
    I remember my friends dad had some sort of PC with this on it..it was like a 2d environment that you navigated around...going into different rooms around a house.
    Files were stored in filing cabinets and you sometimes needed a key to open secure documents.

    It might have had a girls name....I'm not sure..
