Eircom phone cable lying on top of the ground crossing a field

    Hi eircom,

    I am clearing away some bushes in a field at the minute and have found an eircom cable lying on the surface of the ground.

    The cable appears to be crossing the field.  I suspect the cable may be live, but am unsure.  I expect the wire ought to be suspended from telephone poles if it is live.  Can you arrange for a technician to come and inspect this?  It is in quite an awkward position the way it currently stands.

    I can PM you details regarding the location.
